About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Wildmark is a cozy idle RPG about a lone woodland Warden and the homestead they slowly bring back to life. Every corner of the wilds is an illustrated diorama: a woodcutter's glade, a lantern-lit mine, a fishing pool, a camp kitchen, a forge, an old fighting ring. Visit for five minutes or a whole evening. Your Warden keeps working while you're gone.

Gather : Woodcutting, Foraging, Hunting, Fishing and Mining, each with its own quiet rhythm. Trees shudder and fall, ore sparks, and the Warden really does the work.

Craft : fletch bows and arrows, smith weapons and armour at the anvil, cook over the campfire, brew blessings in the cauldron.

Defend : patrol the meadow, the dark firs and the ruined watchtower. Every skill you raise makes the Warden stronger.

Your homestead starts as a bare island in the clouds. Each lot you can build on shows its building as an ink sketch, and when you build it, colour floods in. The hut becomes a cabin, the cabin becomes a lodge, and the garden, the smokehouse, the apiary and the watchtower rise around it. Every building earns something while the game is closed, and hired apprentices gather for you around the clock.

The wilds change with the seasons, and so does the work. Spring brings showers and blossom, summer brings heat and thunderstorms, autumn brings gales and fog, and winter brings snow that settles on the ground. Lanterns glow brighter as the sky darkens, and you can hear it all: rain on the roof, wind in the pines, cicadas on hot afternoons, crickets at night.

Forge your first blade and the endless Arena opens: wave after wave of tougher foes, paying gold and Valor into a deep tree of permanent upgrades. And beyond the patrol roads wait the great beasts: Greywind the Alpha, Warlord Vane, Ironhide the Titan.

True offline progress : your current skill, the homestead and the apprentices keep working while you're away. (Patrols wait for you, so no fight is fought unattended.)

Companions : a squirrel, a hound, an otter, a falcon and more, each at your heel in its own skill.

Curios & relics : collect woodland trinkets and attune them for lasting power.

Pass the Torch : retire a Warden to earn Embers and permanent Legacy upgrades for the next.

No pressure : no energy meters, no timers you have to answer, no microtransactions.

Steam Cloud keeps your Warden with you across devices, and Steam Achievements and a global Arena leaderboard mark the milestones.

Wander in. The forest remembers its Warden.
