Died in the Tower Again
The description, trailers and screenshots supplied by the Steam store.
Description
You died in the tower. Again.
An apprentice mage is trapped in a tower that resets every death — but never takes back what you earned. Unlocked floors stay unlocked. Banked gold stays banked. Only your run ends.
Survive each floor, kill the floor boss, climb. Then do it better.
You only move. The spells handle themselves.
No attack button. You dodge, position, and choose — the tower does the rest.
Pick 1 of 3 on every level up: a new element, an upgrade, or a stat
Survive the timer and the floor boss appears — beat it to climb
Every 10th floor is a gate boss with its own signature attack pattern and a hard time limit
8 elements. Only 4 per run.
Fire — AoE on impact, then burn
Ice — multi-shot and slow, freezing at higher levels
Lightning — arcs between enemies with huge damage variance
Poison — leaves toxic pools that stack
Earth — instant AoE under the target, with petrify
Wind — no projectile at all; whirlwinds hunt enemies down
Light — heals, shields, and a holy nova
Dark — a black hole that pulls, curses, then implodes
Light and Dark are spirit contracts — you may carry only one of them.
Matching elements fire synergies on their own: Melt, Venom Burst, Overload, Shatter, Judgement, and Wind-carried storms that spread another element across the floor.
Awakenings — the real build decision
Push an element deep and it awakens twice: a passive at Lv4 that rewrites your normal attack, and an ultimate at Lv8 that fires by itself. 8 elements x 2 stages = 16 awakenings.
You only ever hold 4 elements. Deciding what to abandon is the game.
Growth that survives death
35 relics — elites drop a choice of 3, but you carry only 3 per run. Opposites never appear together
14 artifacts — permanent, bought only with coins that gate bosses drop. Gold cannot buy them. They change the rules: piercing shots, orbiting orbs, revival — and they upgrade
14 engravings and 4 spirit contracts — long-term specialization between runs
4 spirit creatures that fight beside you, each with its own bond and role
5 seal tiers — replay cleared floors under harsher rules for a better leaderboard crest
73 titles — earned through deaths, conquests, depth, and broken seals
The Abyss
An endless descent that opens as you climb — a floor boss drops in on a timer, and every fifth depth pays an artifact coin. How far down can you go before it buries you?
Included, not sold separately
The Steam version has no ads and no in-app purchases . All 16 mage skins and 15 creature skins are unlocked as part of the game.
Leaderboard
Ranked by highest floor first, then by Abyss depth. Your crest reflects the seals you have broken. The whole game is playable offline — the leaderboard is there when you want it.
Controls
WASD or arrow keys to move. Attacks are automatic. P to pause, M to mute. New here? How to Play on the title screen is a five-page illustrated guide.
