A kingdom burns at the edge of the world. The throne is lost, the old order is broken, and every road forward asks what you are willing to sacrifice. In Ember Kingdom, you lead a single hero through a dark-fantasy journey of tactical battles, dangerous events, and hard-won upgrades.
CHOOSE YOUR HERO
Build your run around five classes: Warrior, Mage, Paladin, Rogue, and Warlock. Combine race, appearance, class identity, and talent choices to create a hero that feels like your own. Every choice changes the roads that open in front of you.
READ THE BATTLE
Combat is turn-based and deliberate. Enemies reveal their intent before they strike. Decide when to attack, guard, use a potion, apply a status effect, or save a skill for the turn that matters. Every action changes your resources, cooldowns, protection, and the shape of the next exchange.
BUILD A RUN
Plan a route through battles, events, rewards, shops, and campfires. Grow a talent route, unlock active skills, fuse secondary paths, and adapt when the road gives you a build you did not expect. A strong run is not only about damage; it is about knowing when to recover, when to gamble, and when to walk away.
THE SLAY THE SPIRE + WORLD OF WARCRAFT FLAVOR
If you like the route planning, escalating builds, and “one more run” tension of Slay the Spire, and the readable class fantasy, races, and larger-than-life adventure of World of Warcraft, Ember Kingdom brings those two flavors together in an original single-player RPG. It is not a crossover or licensed product: the world, characters, and systems are original.

Cross multiple chapters, face monsters and bosses, survive the choices that reshape your journey, and learn from every defeat. Return with a new class, a new talent route, and a different answer to the same question: what will you sacrifice to take the kingdom back?

Update 2.0.2.0: Startup Input and Map Navigation Fixes
Thank you for your feedback. Update 2.0.2.0 includes the following improvements: 1. Startup input stability Fixed an issue where the game could remain in a paused focus state after startup, causing buttons to stop responding and music not to begin. The game now checks the native window focus state and resumes input and audio when the window is active. 2. Manual map movement The game no longer uses a direct-entry shortcut when only one route node is available. Players must now select the node and confirm travel before moving to the next encounter.

Two things: achievements were not working at all in 1.0.1, and characters now pick up the light of whatever place they are standing in.FixedSteam achievements now unlock. The 1.0.1 installer was missing a component the game needs to talk to Steam, so nothing you earned was ever reported. It is now included, and our build process refuses to produce an installer without it rather than let this happen again.Nothing you earned was lost. Thanks to everyone who has been playing since launch. This first patch is mostly about shoring things up: saves that failed without saying so, and a way the game could shut itself down on a busy PC. It also takes about 315 MB off the install.StabilityFixed the game closing itself without a word. Each piece of scene art gets a time limit while it loads. If your PC happened to be busy - an antivirus sweep, a download, another game patching in the background - that limit could run out, and the game would quit rather than wait a moment longer.
