Hey survivors!I wanted to explain a little bit why I decided to introduce the new Season Rewards system.Over time, I’ve watched a lot of survival-game content creators, and something I always enjoyed seeing was YouTubers creating their own “Season 1”, “Season 2”, etc. permadeath runs in games like SurrounDead.It gave their playthroughs an extra purpose and made each run feel like its own story.That gave me an idea for Not Quite Dead.I wanted players to have something more to work toward beyond completing quests.Quests give you objectives and help guide your progression, but killing zombies is obviously a huge part of the game too. Hey everyone!The last week has been absolutely massive for Not Quite Dead.Since August 18, I’ve been working almost nonstop on multiplayer stability, zombie behavior, quests, progression, localization, UI improvements, save compatibility, balancing, and final release polish.A lot of these changes are not just small fixes several important systems have been reworked or heavily improved in preparation for release. Since July 16, I’ve focused on improving progression, co-op communication, world events, survival systems, customization options, and the overall stability of the game.A lot of this work happened behind the scenes, but the result is a game that now feels much more complete, responsive, and ready for longer survival runs.Here is everything that has changed.Persistent Weapon UpgradesWeapons can now be upgraded through a complete persistent progression system.Upgradeable weapons can reach up to six upgrade levels.
