Shield Line: Riot Police Tactics Demo lets you take command of a riot police unit in the first four training missions of the full game.
Training 1: First Day – a quiet sit-in meets fans and opportunists; make four arrests with patrol officers and a prisoner van.
Training 2: The Bottleneck – only 12 shield officers stand between a stadium crowd and the square; choosing the right spot matters more than numbers.
Training 3: Stranded – five peaceful protesters are trapped outside the stadium as fan groups close in from both sides.
Training 4: Safe Passage – escort a lawful family march past fan groups lying in ambush at a junction.
The demo is time-limited. Your progress does not carry over to the full game.
Shield Line is a real-time tactics game. From peaceful marches to post-derby clashes, from looted shopping centres to a station under siege, your job is to keep order across the city's districts. How you keep it is up to you.
The crowd is not a single enemy. Every protester acts on their own anger, fear and patience. Excessive force makes a crowd grow; a well-timed announcement or negotiation can end the day without bloodshed.
Crowds of hundreds: 250-300 people per mission, each with their own mood; panic spreads, narrow streets turn into crushes.
Shield lines, protective rings, evacuation corridors: form them at any angle and use the terrain; tired front ranks fall back while the second rank takes over.
12 unit types: shield officers, patrol officers, gas grenadiers, water cannon, mounted police, flash-bang team, undercover officers, medics, negotiators, police drone, prisoner van and more.
Fog of war and emergency calls: what your officers can't see stays dark; incidents arrive as calls, and not every call is true. CCTV cameras and the drone are your eyes.
Night, rain and fog: change visibility, tear gas, fires and the mood of the crowd.
Public opinion and the press: journalists film every intervention. Each mission ends with a newspaper headline, a shift in public trust and a crowd that remembers.
Campaign and budget: funds carried between missions, specialist units and equipment upgrades, detention decisions, intelligence. Failure makes the next mission harder.
Replayability: waves, weather and surprise events change on every run; build your own scenarios with the mission editor.
