About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Upgrade your ship. Tear through the void. Make every wreck pay.

Void Revenant is a single-player vertical shoot ’em up with detailed pixel art, layered space scenery and a driving dark electronic soundtrack. Twenty sectors stand between your factory-fresh fighter and the heart of a hostile fleet.

Collect floating coin bubbles from destroyed enemies and spend them at Vesk’s Second Orbit shop. Build across 22 upgrade tracks: lasers, missiles, homing weapons, rear cannons, drones, shields and more. Installed hardware appears on your ship, turning a modest fighter into your own heavily armed creation.

Watch for an incoming transmission. A huge merchant carrier opens its illuminated docking hatch, bringing a safe break in the fighting. Repair your hull, refill your bombs or sell unwanted equipment to make room for a different build.

Purchased upgrades stay with you for the current run. Dropped powerups are temporary. Every new run begins at sector one with basic hardware and zero coins, so each build starts with a clean slate.

Thread branching corridors through wrecked machinery, industrial fortresses, alien tunnels and hostile space. Destroy emplacements built into the walls and read the warning before a laser cuts across your path. Enemy formations circle, charge, weave and return for another pass.

At the end of each sector, take apart a boss piece by piece. Destroy exposed hardpoints, adapt to changing attack windows and finish the vulnerable core. The final fortress demands everything your ship can bring.

Keep your kill chain alive, push the multiplier to x6 and earn oversized arcade celebrations for your finest moments. Start with the Ghost, then earn three further ships through increasingly difficult campaign completions. Choose Easy, Medium, Hard or Extreme and find the run that suits you.

Between firefights, the pilot and crew trade captioned radio banter. Destroy enemies and bosses to reveal their histories and tactical notes in the combat archive.

Twenty sectors with branching routes, destructible emplacements and boss battles.

22 upgrade tracks, visible ship attachments and four playable ship designs to earn and master.

Four difficulty settings and score multipliers up to x6.

Keyboard controls and gamepad control support.

Captions, adjustable player-bullet colours, reduced flashes and screen-shake controls.

Scalable graphics settings and ten display looks, including CRT, monochrome and classic computer palettes.
