About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Grab a shovel. Dig a hole. Keep going.

Project Hole is a cosy first person digging game set in an ordinary British back garden. Lift the turf, shovel through topsoil and sticky clay, crack solid rock and sell every load at the WE BUY yard. Spend your earnings on bigger shovels, bigger buckets and power tools, then build the ladders, conveyor belts, mine carts and lifts you need to go deeper. What starts as a square of lawn becomes your very own mine, hundreds of metres deep.

A letter from your Grandad is waiting in the letterbox. His old tin box is buried somewhere under the lawn, and on the east side of the garden, if you listen closely, there is music coming up through the rock.

KEY FEATURES

Every layer digs differently Turf lifts away in sods, roots tangle, clay turns sticky in the rain and rock has to be fractured first. The ground is smooth, sculpted and fully diggable.

Dig, sell, upgrade Fill your bucket, haul it to the yard and watch the coins roll in. Work your way up from a Basic Shovel to the Titan Shovel and from a Garden Bucket to a Bulk Bag, adding a pickaxe, a cordless rock drill and a power spade along the way.

Build your own mine More than 80 build pieces snap to a simple grid. Lay ladders, stairs, platforms and catwalks, then move your spoil with hoppers, conveyor belts, mine carts and a lift cage that rides all the way down your shaft.

Power the operation Run wires from generators, solar panels and wind turbines, store the spare in batteries, light up your tunnels and keep your power tools charged.

Wonders below Unearth more than 40 finds, from Victorian bottles and Roman coins to ammonites, a dinosaur vertebra and a meteorite fragment. Deeper still lie glowing crystal caverns and, around 300 metres down, pockets of lava where the heat is fierce but rarely fatal.

The Gnome Casino Follow the music and you will break into a hidden underground casino run by gnomes. Play roulette, blackjack, slots and dice right on the tables, order a grog at the bar and find out what the gnomes know about your Grandad.

Dig together Play online with up to three friends. Share one bank and one hole, build side by side, scramble for the same find and dig each other out when accidents happen.

A garden worth coming home to A robin hops over to look for worms whenever you dig, the radio on the patio plays three stations, the neighbours post letters as the hole grows, and the planning table sketches your mines cross section.

Photo and Timelapse mode Frame the perfect shot with depth of field, or slice the world open with the cutaway view and show off your whole mine like an ant farm. Create cool timelapses of your digs to see your progress over time.
