About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Take your first steps in Outgrowing Wake, a civilisation simulation where the galaxy keeps running while you are away.

In the demo you can:

Grow your homeworld and found new colonies, managing food, energy and minerals

Research through the Planetary, Orbital and Interplanetary eras and queue technologies before you log off

Automate colonies with rules, reserves and priorities, and give fleets standing orders

Build ships, send fleets and ship resources between worlds, where distance and supply matter

Meet rival empires, make peace, agree trade routes and decide when to end a treaty

Come back to a briefing of what happened while you were away

What the demo leaves out: technology stops at the end of the Interplanetary era. The full game goes on into deep-space surveying, interstellar expansion and a persistent galaxy shared with other civilisations. When you’ve researched everything the demo allows, a card will say so.

Notes: the demo is single-player. Your progress is saved on your computer. [Optional: Steam Cloud keeps it between machines. Add this only once you’ve set Auto-Cloud up.]
