About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Oh, a new face? Welcome to Death Pool Club. There's only one rule here: sink a ball, and your rival gets hurt. But we share the table. On their turn, your rival will be happy to use whatever mess you leave behind. Hehe.

Our tables are a little… special

Round tables, hexagonal tables, even star-shaped ones. Pools of blood on the felt, currents that drag the balls sideways, and a space table where nothing ever wants to stop. The pockets have moods too. The one that doubled your damage a moment ago might cut it in half on the next shot. Better look twice before you shoot.

Every ball has a personality

Skull hurts most when you sink it clean. Fire heats up with every bounce, and Shock gets stronger the more you sink in a row. Bomb blows away everything near its pocket. Heart patches you up, and Gold is… money. My favourite. Sink a few at once and I'll throw in a combo multiplier.

Cheating? Everyone does it here

Lay mines. Open portals. Turn the felt to ice, or turn a ball into a bomb. Bored of your rival's turn? Stop time. 35 items, 29 relics. I have a soft spot for Glass Cannon: you trade health for firepower. Such a thrill. Light up Wildfire and the flames jump from ball to ball, while Lucky 7 triples every seventh shot. No two runs come out the same.

Spend your spare chips at the vending machine

A neon vending machine waits between stages. Punch in a number, the coil turns, and your prize drops with a thunk. Take it. No refunds ♠

Build the hype, then it's showtime

Every good shot builds HYPE. Fill it up and it's SHOWTIME. POWER doubles the damage of one shot, ENCORE gives you another shot after a clean pot, and SECOND WIND lets you catch your breath when things get ugly. I love a good show. Don't disappoint me.

Our executives don't lose gracefully

Your rivals sink balls too, and they use items. Each one has habits of their own. Stitch sews herself back up after a miss and comes right back at you. At the end of every act, an executive is waiting. Once their health drops to half, the real cheating begins.

Mr. Eight shuts down your cushion bonuses. No sense of fun.

Me, The Dealer? I shuffle the pockets however I like. I'll even mark a jackpot pocket for you. Whether you trust it is up to you.

The House does both, and when it gets angry it bolts bumpers onto the table.

The shot that finishes an executive gets replayed in slow motion. A little souvenir.

Losing doesn't mean leaving empty-handed

Leave your chips and souls on the table and take only your Club Tokens. That's what buys cues. All seven play differently: one hits harder on the first shot of every stage, another makes balls that hit two cushions hurt more. They wear down as you play, so give them a little care now and then.

See you next round. And if you sink a gold ball, save some for me.
