It's the 1990s. The neon is beautiful. The streets are crowded. The vending machines are fully stocked.
And absolutely EVERYONE wants you dead. Salarymen, street thugs, ninjas, samurai, vengeful spirits, and things that probably shouldn't exist are all lining up to ruin your day.
Why? Who cares? You've got eight weapon slots, a shotgun, and places to be.
EVERYBODY HATES YOU IN TOKYO is a fast, ridiculously violent retro FPS where you blast your way through hordes of enemies across 16 increasingly unhinged Japanese arenas. Dodge, double-jump, wall-run, collect absurd upgrades, and turn the streets of Tokyo into a spectacularly expensive crime scene.
Explore 16 distinct arenas inspired by the sights, streets, and atmosphere of 1990s Japan.
Fight beneath Shinjuku's neon lights. Turn Shibuya Crossing into a war zone. Tear through Akihabara's electronic wonderland. Battle across rooftops, shopping malls, fish markets, bamboo forests, and snow-covered villages.
And just when you think you've seen everything Japan has to offer... Things get weird. Really weird.
Haunted towns. Impossible architecture. Endless yellow corridors. And eventually, the literal depths of Hell.
Each completed stage unlocks another destination on your increasingly terrible vacation.
YOUR ARSENAL INCLUDES:
Double-Barrel Shotgun : Two barrels. Two shells. Extremely short conversations.
Dual Pistols & Assault Rifles : Because one gun is a reasonable solution, and two guns are better.
Flak Cannon : Deliver an unforgettable shower of shrapnel.
Grenade Launcher : For problems best solved with explosions.
Kar98k : Old-school precision with a seriously unpleasant punch.
Dynamite : Light the fuse. Throw it. Reconsider your distance.
Tactical Knife : For when things get personal. Or ammunition gets scarce.
Expect chunky impacts, flying bodies, explosive physics, satisfying reloads, and enough blood to make the local cleaning services resign.
This isn't a cover shooter. The entire city is your enemy, and hiding behind a waist-high wall isn't going to solve your problems.
MOVE LIKE YOU MEAN IT.
Sprint through enemy-packed streets.
Double-jump over danger.
Wall-run and wall-jump to reach new routes.
Lean around corners when precision matters.
Chain movement and gunfire to keep the carnage flowing.
Every enemy you defeat brings experience, cash, and another opportunity to become a walking public safety disaster.
Level up during combat and choose upgrades that transform the way you fight.
MORE DAMAGE? Absolutely.
FASTER GUNS? Naturally.
MORE PROJECTILES? Now we're talking.
Improve your firepower, health, speed, armor, ammunition, and other combat abilities. Experiment with weapon-specific upgrades and build increasingly ridiculous combinations. Spend your hard-earned Yen on permanent upgrades between runs, so your next trip to Tokyo can be even more destructive.
Tokyo is a dangerous place to visit alone.
Team up with a friend in online co-op , fight through waves of increasingly hostile enemies, and turn a perfectly ordinary Japanese vacation into a shared catastrophe.
Or go solo and keep all the glory to yourself.
Prefer a less intense experience?
Kid Mode swaps the supernatural horrors for human enemies, gives you extra health, and enables automatic reloading.
You can also adjust blood effects, visual settings, retro presentation options, and performance preferences to suit your style and hardware.
The entire city might hate you, but your graphics card doesn't have to.
16 arenas. Eight weapon slots. Thousands of terrible first impressions.
No complicated politics. No lengthy speeches. No need to explain yourself.
Just fast movement, ridiculous guns, endless enemies, and a neon-soaked trip through Japan that gets progressively more insane.
EVERYBODY HATES YOU IN TOKYO.
Make sure they remember you.
