Start in 1920 with a little money and an empty map. Lay track across the hills, put stations beside towns and works, buy trains and set them running, connecting a large number of industries and sectors. Every track changes the country around it: towns grow along your railways, mills start producing when coal arrives, and the land you connect fills with traffic.
Railways with stations, junctions, passing loops, viaducts and tunnels, on single or double track
Electric trams through town streets, with lorries and buses on the roads
Steamers and cargo ships between quays
Mail planes and airliners between aerodromes
Coal goes to the power station, ore to the steel mill, grain to the food works, steel to the factory and goods to the towns. Serve a works well and it grows. Leave it unserved and a rival company will build into it instead.
Steam gives way to diesel and electric, biplanes to airliners. The seasons turn, with snow in January, amber woods in autumn and long golden evenings in summer, and your network runs through all of it.
Timetables and even spacing to keep your lines running on time
A network map that shows every line, what each works makes and what is worth building next
Sign a works or a town to your company to keep rivals out
Showcase mode: hand the camera to a director and watch your railway filmed at golden hour
Steam currently lists 9 Nov 2026 as the release date.
