About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

There are plenty of theories about how the pyramids were built.

You and your friends have one too. It involves 23,426 bricks, a lot of hard work and probably a few questionable decisions.

How They Built the Pyramids is an online co-op building game for 1–8 players. Start by making bricks from Nile clay, then work together to build a 65-metre pyramid, one block at a time.

It's a lot of work. Luckily, you don't have to do it all by hand.

MAKE BRICKS. LOTS OF THEM.

It all starts with a bit of mud. Turn raw clay into bricks, improve their quality and find ways to make the whole process faster. You'll be making a lot of them.

GET THEM UP THERE

Carry bricks, toss them to your friends or find your own way of getting them to the top. Just make sure you're not standing underneath when something comes crashing down.

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK

Bring your friends along, split up the work and get a proper operation going. Still need more hands? Hire some Shabti to help out. Just remember to keep them happy.

BUILD YOUR EMPIRE

What starts as a few people carrying bricks eventually becomes something much bigger. Build, connect and automate your production. Let the machines do the heavy lifting while you focus on getting that pyramid finished.

THERE ARE EASIER WAYS. BUT WHERE'S THE FUN?

Launch your friends across the pyramid. Send bricks flying through the air. Experiment with some rather unconventional construction methods. There is more than one way to get a brick where it needs to go.

ONE VERY BIG PYRAMID

26 layers. 65 metres tall. 23,426 blocks.

Finish the pyramid together, then keep building. Raise monuments, earn blessings and see just how far your little operation can go.

FEATURES

1–8 player online co-op. Build together, divide the work or get in each other's way.

23,426 blocks to place. One giant pyramid, built by your crew.

Build and automate. Turn a small brick-making operation into a fully running production line.

Get some help. Recruit little workers to take care of the less exciting jobs.

Find creative solutions. Carry, toss, launch and transport bricks in all sorts of ways.

Grow stronger. Improve your abilities and carry more as your operation grows.
