I set out for home at dusk, along a road I'd walked for over twenty years. It should have taken an hour. Three hours later, I'm still in the village.

GAEKGWI is a first-person horror game about escaping an old village haunted by ghosts from Korean folklore.

Ghosts from Korean folklore

Each ghost hunts in its own way. Learn how they use sight and sound to track you, and choose when to hide or move.

Find the means to survive

Stay low, conserve your lantern oil, and shut doors behind you. Use traditional charms and tools to evade ghosts, survive an encounter, or turn their power against them.

Traces of those who came before

Others walked this road before you. Their writings remain scattered throughout the village. Piece them together to uncover what happened here.

A village that changes with each visit

The alleys and houses connect differently each time you enter. There is no fixed route home. Watch your surroundings and listen closely to find your way.
