About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Four heroes. Six islands. Hundreds of monsters at once.

We Are Surrounded is an auto-battler about a small party on a floating island and the horde that climbs over its rim from every side. You do not swing the swords. You plan the fight, send the heroes where they should go, and watch them hold the line on their own.

Plan the fight, then let it happen

Before every fight you place rally points for each hero, or one route for the whole party to march as a group. Then the heroes fight by themselves: the Warrior wades in, the Ranger shoots from the back, the Mage waits for the densest crowd and the Summoner sends her army ahead. You can follow any hero, pause at any moment and see exactly who dealt what on the live damage chart.

Every run makes the next one easier

Every fight pays out copper, silver and gold, win or lose. Spend it between runs on five upgrade trees, one for the party's Banner and one for each hero, with 213 upgrades in all. Unlock new skills, raise their power and watch an island that crushed you a few runs ago fall in seconds.

Six islands, six bosses

Bone Meadow - slimes, skeletons and the Skeleton King

Hollow Grove - thornback boars, hollow owls and Bramblehorn

Goblin Warcamp - goblin camps, ogres and Grukk the Warboss

Withered Moor - rotting bogs, acid toads and Bloatmaw, the Fen Queen

Sunscour Dunes - burrowing sandworms, golems that deflect arrows and Kharzul, the Sun Scorpion

The Nightwaste - a night forest of treants, stalkers and druids, and Graveroot, the Night Elder

Each boss fights with its own skills, from a tongue that swallows a hero whole to an ambush from under the sand and a horde called out of the dark.

Features

Four heroes with their own skills - Whirlwind and Battle Cry, Barrage of Arrows and Boss Shredder, Meteor, Frost Nova and Chain Lightning, and a Summoner who calls wolves, stone golems, wisps, shade archers and ember drakes

Rally points and group routes that turn a hopeless island into a plan

213 upgrades across five trees, with new skills, revives and coin hoards

Loot is kept even when the party falls, so every run counts

A pixel art world with bright effects, played zoomed out so you can see the whole horde

An original soundtrack and sound effects, every one synthesised for the game

Pause, follow any hero, zoom in and out at any time
