Murder Mystery Online is a first-person 3D online murder mystery for you and your friends. You all walk into the same crime scene, investigate it yourselves, and talk your way to the truth. Everyone takes a role. What really happened is waiting in the scene, and in what everyone says.
Explore a connected 3D scene in first person. Open drawers, chests and doors, sweep your flashlight into the corners, and examine anything suspicious. What you find goes into your own notebook. No one else can read it.
During investigation, raise your camera and shoot the scene. Film is limited. Each photo carries the clues that were actually in frame. Bring them to the board during the debate, and if someone posts a photo that implicates you, a rebuttal helper suggests how to answer.
After the investigation, each player takes a turn presenting. Pin photos and notes to the board, link them with arrows, and make your case. Voice chat is built in. During investigation you can only hear people who are close, so a private conversation in a corner is possible. Your voice is converted to your role's voice.
When it is time to vote, every player enters a black space alone. The other suspects stand with their backs to you. Walk up behind one and accuse. Once everyone has voted, a narrator announces the result.
Every match is recorded automatically (kept for 30 days). Replay it from any player's point of view or a free camera. Press "Make it a variety show" and the game picks the best moments, adds captions and sound effects, and saves a video.
The base game is free. Anyone can open a room for the free case The Manor Across the River and the Mystery Lodge hangout right away. For paid episodes, only the player who creates the room needs to own it; every friend with the room code joins free.
