About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

A stopped Gear and an island gone wild

At the top of GearSpire, the tower in the sky, the great Gear has stopped. Rust spilling from it is making the island's creatures go wild. Riku, a tiny pilot, jumps into the junky robot Pops put together and starts to climb.

Customizing IS deckbuilding

Right arm, left arm, legs, back, head. The cards on the parts you equip ARE your deck. Bolt on a drill and multi-hit attacks join your deck; a cannon brings big shots; spring legs bring a stomp that hits everyone. Take a part off and its cards leave too. You don't pick cards — you build a robot.

Stronger parts look and move differently

Parts go from ★1 to ★5. Every star adds pieces, changes colors and makes the moves bigger. The punch arm becomes a rocket punch at ★2 and chains into an uppercut at ★3. At ★5 a part "awakens" and gives you its own awakened card.

Full Burst

Play cards from different parts in a turn to fill the Sync gauge. When it's full, hit Full Burst — missiles, headbutt, beam, rocket punch, big jump. Every equipped part fires its move in turn, and the total damage lands at the end.

Every climb is different

4 acts: First Sky Isle, Gearwood, Cloud Factory — and the Upside-Down Tower, open only after you clear the game. Each act has its own scenery and music

42 kinds of enemies. Acts 1–3 each have two possible bosses, fought on their own stage (the tower gate, the gear throne, the stormy factory roof). Act 4 has its king, Negagear

28 parts; each run you meet 14 of them in a new combination

14 stickers and 13 events. Unlock parts in the Lab, and take on Gear levels 1–10 for a tougher tower

Beat an enemy enough times and it "looks like it wants to join you!" — 15 buddies live on your Ranch, where you can pet and feed them. One rides on your robot's head into battle

18 missions and 23 Steam achievements

Little scenes along the way

Mid-air docking as your parts fly in one by one, petting each new buddy, a campfire at the Repair Dock. Every act you clear ends with its own celebration — a sunset at the island's edge, sunrise on top of the tower, fireworks with everyone. (Shorter after the first time, or set them to "Short" in the options.)

Six languages (Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish).
