About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

TAKE THAT SHOT

You are a basketball. Above you is a tower made of floating junk, and the only way to finish is up.

Take That Shot is a physics platformer you can play alone or with friends. Roll, charge your jumps, dash and slam your way up a huge tower of crates, boats, ice and shop tables, all hanging in the sky above a small island with a basketball court on it.

Fall off and you go back down. Fast.

ROLL. JUMP. DASH.

Movement is the whole game. Tap jump for a small hop. Hold it to charge a huge one and let go to launch yourself.

You also get two dashes that recharge over time. They are great for saving a bad jump and even better for ruining a good one.

GROUND SLAM

Jump, press Ctrl in the air and drop straight down. The floor cracks, debris goes everywhere, and anyone standing underneath gets squashed.

CLIMB TO THE TOP

The tower is split into themed stages: a harbor, a goblin camp, a glacier, a city and more. It gets wider as you go up, then narrows near the top. Most stages have a long easy route, a shorter hard one, and one packed with obstacles.

Springs, air streams, bumpers, elevators, seesaws, spinning arms. One bad bounce can undo a whole section.

Every stage ends on a checkpoint plaza, so falling doesn't always mean starting over. A timer keeps your best run, and a height meter on the left shows how far up everyone is.

BRING YOUR FRIENDS

Don't want to suffer alone? Climb together with up to 8 players, with voice chat and text chat built in.

You can bounce into your friends, knock them off platforms, or slam on top of them. Everyone shows up on the height meter in their own ball color, so you always know exactly who just fell.

Sometimes teamwork is the fastest way up. Sometimes your friend is the obstacle.

MAKE YOUR BALL YOURS

Pick your colors, then paint on the ball with text, shapes and a brush. There are 13 hats, including a crown, a wizard hat, a traffic cone, bunny ears, a propeller cap, a climber hat and one very ugly haircut. Add a trail on top: rainbow, sparkles, fire, bubbles, hearts or dust.

YES, THERE ARE HOOPS

There is a hoop at each end of the court, and one at the very top of the tower. Put the ball through one and the whole lobby gets fireworks. It is a basketball game, technically.

ABOUT THIS DEMO

The demo covers the first three stages. Reach the third checkpoint to finish it and get a firework show. The full tower has ten stages.
