CHILD ABUSE HEROES - A story about children who dreamed and became heroes...

Rumeon, a child who suffers from child abuse, is suddenly transported to another world where his toy friend COCO comes to life. In this world, everything seems peaceful until they are approached by a monster.

Rumeon and COCO meet new friends along the way as they explore the world they have just entered and realise their experiences of child abuse have led them to this new world of discovery.

This is where the story begins...

Gameplay:

Narrative scenes: Explore the dream realm, interact with key characters, and advance the story through dialogue. These sections use subtitles for accessibility and build the emotional plot of child abuse and trauma.

Fighting encounters: These trigger as part of the story. You engage in battles against different types of monsters.

Progression is story-focused: fights and conversations push the narrative forward, with themes of abuse, trauma, loneliness, and what it means to be a child without love.

Combat:

The combat system is real-time and fast-paced but accessible, with attacking and closing distance in arena-like spaces. Simple health bars appear for all fighters (e.g., "RUMEON 34" vs "KNIGHT 46"). Fights take place in fully 3D environments.

Controls:

Mouse + keyboard input:

Combat: Click 'ATTACK' depending on which character you have selected to shoot a gun, cast a spell, punch, or strike when the 'ATTACK' text is displayed.

Movement: Hold the Shift button and press any WASD or arrow keys to run.

Dialogue: Left-click the mouse on text.

Unique Features:

Heavy emphasis on subtitled story and emotional narrative over pure mechanics.

Short, focused scope ideal for players who want story with basic combat.

Explores themes of child abuse and trauma through direct gameplay moments and narrative scenes.

Dream as you were brought into this world to dream…

A world for every child... A promise to every child... Surely heroes in the eyes and hearts of every child.
