About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Your taskbar has a parade now.

Taskbar Parade is a desktop companion that keeps you company while you do other things. A little duck captain leads a line of friends — hamsters, frogs, penguins, capybaras, a dinosaur — marching just above your taskbar while you work, study or stream. They waddle, stop for a sit, peck at crumbs when you type, and curl up for a nap when you step away.

Quiet by default

The parade stays small and calm: no numbers, no pop-ups over your work. It hides itself when a full-screen app is open. Want more action? Switch to Lively mode and watch them bonk grumpy crows and picnic geese with a scrolling backdrop.

A little something every day

Daily wishes – each day three friends ask for something small ("pet us 5 times", "walk 2 km together"). Grant them for acorns and keep your streak going. Missing a single day is forgiven.

Sparkles – every now and then something glints on the road. Click it before it's gone.

Pet your friends – click any of them for a squish and a heart.

Things to collect

Friends in three coats — normal, gold and galaxy.

40 hats in six themes. Wear three or five of one theme for a set bonus and a parade title ("Seaside Parade").

30 souvenirs from six places, brought home from expeditions.

Postcards of every new place your parade reaches, and a travel diary that writes itself.

Flags for your captain to carry, and 46 achievements.

Friends who grow with you

Bond grows with the time you spend together — through walks, pets, treats and wishes. After the last bond level, friends earn bond stars forever.

Expeditions

Send a friend off to the beach or the snowfield for 1, 4 or 8 hours. They come back with acorns, souvenirs, sometimes a charm — and closer to you.

Trade with other players

Hats and friends are Steam items. Trade them, list them on the Steam Community Market, or trade up ten spares for one rarer item. Crates arrive from Steam as you play (every 30 minutes, up to 10 a day). No paid loot boxes.

Made for streamers

Streamer mode shows only the parade, so you can put it under your stream with OBS game capture.

About input counting

With the optional "crumbs from typing" setting, the game counts how many times you press a key or click — only the count, never which key. Nothing is saved or sent. You can turn it off in Settings.
