About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

One gate, unlimited possibilities

NAND is the only logic element in the game. NOT, AND, OR, XOR, latches, decoders, RAM, CPU: you build all of it from scratch.

Built for enormous circuits

Worlds with millions of gates stay playable. Enough to make a 16-bit computer and run your own 24-kilobyte full-scale operating system on it at 1000 ticks per second.

A tutorial

As an alternative to the sandbox, you can work through lessons on how NAND can be used to make latches, flip-flops, adders, counters, RAM and program memory, step by step, all the way up to a working processor.

Scale logic in seconds

Any fragment can be copied and pasted. Wires autoconnect, so scaling one component to thousands takes seconds.

Library of blocks

Commonly used fragments can be turned into blocks that can be easily accessed, modified in a single place, or nested.

A simulation that behaves like real hardware

There is no artificial per-gate delay: within a single tick, any change propagates through the whole device, just as a real circuit settles between clock edges. Nothing is time-synchronized for you: when you need it, you build the clock and the flip-flops yourself.

Program your machine

Write a whole ROM in a binary or hex editor and flash it into your circuit in one go.

Co-op

Invite Steam friends or host on a local network and build together. Each player runs their own simulation, so you can test your part of the machine while a friend is still wiring and debugging theirs.
