About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

A race on a 25×13 grid. Two fighters, one prize, ten items needed to win. Whoever hauls them to their base first takes the match.

10 types of items with varying values—from an orange worth 10 points to grapes worth 100. The higher the value, the rarer the item; you’ll have to do some running to snag the big prizes.

A brawl with no power-ups. Attacks are always available. Strike an adjacent tile to shave two seconds off your opponent's life and knock their item right onto the field—ready for you to pick up and carry off.

You can steal from the enemy base. Sneak into your opponent's base, grab an item, gain 30 points, and haul it back to your side. Of course, now they’ll be stealing from you, too.

Seven power-ups, each capable of turning the tide of the round: freeze, a double/ally, speed boost, bombs, sabotage at the enemy base, and an extra life.

Three arenas, each with its own hazards and atmosphere: ice crystals, skull barrels, and fire crystals—plus a unique interface color scheme for each.

Single-player and couch co-op modes. Play against a bot that actually puts up a fight, or go head-to-head using a single keyboard or two gamepads.

Full gamepad support for one or two players.

TWO GAME MODES:

ITEM RACE — An item-gathering race. A simple yet brutal objective: be the first to deliver 10 items to your base. Picking up an item adds a new obstacle to the field, while sabotage can knock away items you've already secured—turning the final minute into pure chaos.

SCORE RACE — A points-based race. A three-round match with increasing score targets: 1,000, 1,250, and 2,000. Points are earned by collecting items and stealing; the base acts like a piggy bank (the tenth item turns into +50 points), and the winner is the player who takes the most rounds.

BONUSES:

Each bonus also awards 20 points. There are no free gifts—you have to fight for everything.

Lightning (blue bottle) — 7-second speed boost; movement speed doubles.

Green bottle (clover) — summons a double/ally for 13 seconds: it dashes around the field, collecting items and stealing from the opponent's base to bring them to you.

Snowflake (light blue bottle) — freezes the opponent for 5 seconds: they can neither move nor attack.

Dark bottle (bombs) — grants the ability to drop bombs for 15 seconds; they explode after a 5-second delay. Your own bombs and those of your ally are harmless, but an opposing hero loses a life upon contact.

Beetle bottle — destroys one item at the opponent's base—right at the moment of their victory.

Medkit (red bottle with a cross) — adds one life (up to a maximum of 10).

WHAT WILL KILL YOU OR SLOW YOU DOWN:

Arena obstacles don't stay put—literally: every time someone on the field picks up an item, a new obstacle appears. Step on one, and you lose a life plus one item already delivered to your base. Step on an opponent's bomb, and the same happens, plus an explosion and screen shake. Useful tips: bombs are safe for you and your ally if you place them yourself. Newly spawned obstacles pose no immediate danger, but striking or freezing a frozen hero is a sure way to make them drop their loot. Each hero has seven lives per round; lose them all, and you lose the round.

CONTROLS:

Movement: Arrow keys or W-A-S-D. In two-player mode: P1 uses arrow keys, P2 uses W-A-S-D.

Attack: Space for Player 1, E for Player 2; X button on gamepad.

Pause: P or Start button. Sound: M or Y button. Exit to menu: Esc or Back.

In menus: Arrow keys or W-A-S-D, Enter or Space; gamepad D-pad and A button (B to go back). Mouse selection also works.

Gamepads: Two-player play is supported using two gamepads—the first and second connected controllers are automatically assigned to Player 1 and Player 2. Works in both single-player and two-player modes.

Character selection: P1 uses arrow keys and Enter; P2 uses W-A-S-D and Space; gamepad uses D-pad and A. After a match: R to replay; Enter or Esc to return to the menu.
