Little Bee Big World

Fight through ten escalating waves as a tiny bee with a devastating arsenal. Choose your bee, customize your loadout, and build up your Hive to survive the forces of nature. Between waves, return to your Hive to purchase upgrades, bank resources, and prepare for the next fight. Create game-breaking builds and grow more powerful across runs.

Stay involved in the fight

Weapons swing, thrust, and fire automatically. You aim and activate your manual abilities and Hive aerial support call-ins. Weapons and abilities can evolve to forge devastating synergies. Time your abilities for the greatest effect, and call in the big guns from your Hive when you’re about to be overrun.

Enemies are clever and do more than follow you around. Enemies will create unique attack formations, predict your movement, intercept you, and surround you. With enemy configurations that vary run-to-run, no two runs will be the same, for you or the wild. Storms and environmental hazards give you another source of danger to account for, while elites and events add new challenges and rewards.

Build your Hive for the way you play

Your Hive is your home. Use grid-based base-building to place structures where you’d like. Survive waves to restore the Hive Match, illuminating new areas and creating space for more structures. Crafting stations unlock weapons and abilities. The Skill Tree provides permanent benefits and structure unlocks. Production structures generate resources while you fight and while you’re home.

Before takeoff, choose your bee, weapons, abilities, starting stats, biome, difficulty, and Hive support loadout. As your base grows and you purchase permanent upgrades, you can bring larger starting loadouts into each run. Eventually, you can start with up to five weapons, five abilities, dozens of stat points, and several Hive call-ins. Enter with a strategy and build upon it instead of starting from scratch.

Progression stations expand your character and equipment options, while Hive combat support structures unlock the battlefield call-ins you can customize for each run. Build your base to your liking while expanding what you can bring into the wild.

Call in the Hive

Hive support structures unlock aimed strikes, supply drops, defensive upgrades, powerups, and control over nature. Hive support comes in five categories: Strike, Sustain, Supply, Control, and Defense. Aim or activate this support when you start to get overwhelmed.

Fire the Railgun at a boss or a dense horde. Drop Stun Poles to lock enemies in place. Call in a Healing Rain Storm that restores your health while damaging enemies. There are currently 25 Hive call-ins, and you should choose which will best align with this run’s build. Some of the strongest call-ins have limited uses per run. Use them wisely.

Build toward a strategy

Beeline pays attention to your build. Invest in defense, offense, a weapon family, abilities, or economy, and related choices become more likely to appear. You are never locked into one path, but focused purchases and level-up choices make it easier to keep building in that direction.

Evolutions change how weapons and abilities work, not just how hard they hit. Rare shop cards cost more, and repeated rerolls become more expensive. Balance pursuing the perfect build with saving resources for the next wave and your Hive.

Choose the pressure before takeoff

Your starting loadout helps set the challenge. Specialist bees and additional weapons and abilities increase pressure and rewards. Hive support and many permanent upgrades strengthen your loadout options without adding extra pressure. Choose how demanding you want the next run to be and how much it rewards.

Each bee changes the plan

Beeline has 20 playable bees. Nineteen are specialists, each with their own stat profile, strengths, weaknesses, passive, and manual ability. Barry is your flexible starting character, without the specialists’ character abilities. The Medic, Cowboy, and Sorceress benefit from different builds and play very differently. Favored stats make each specialist’s strengths even more pronounced as you upgrade.

Every biome changes the problem

Forest and Snow are not the same ten waves with a different coat of paint. Each biome has its own difficulty curve, enemy formations, resources, event timing, and boss encounters, plus a full day-night cycle. Rain, hail, wind, lightning, and biome-specific hazards can ruin a plan in a flash.

Later biomes can introduce stronger enemy tiers and elites earlier, so a build that cruises through one biome may have a much rougher night on another.

Life doesn’t stop

If real life interrupts a run, you can resume from the last completed Hive intermission between waves. I respect your time: you don’t need to finish all ten waves in one sitting.

When a run ends, everything you banked and a percentage of what you earned feed long-term progression, including new crafting recipes, skill tree upgrades, and a larger, more capable Hive.

Included at Early Access Launch

Beeline’s Early Access launch build includes:

20 playable bees: Barry and nineteen specialists with their own strengths, weaknesses, passive, and manual ability.

8 weapons and 50 weapon evolutions to shape your combat builds.

20 non-character abilities and 7 ability evolutions, alongside the specialists’ character abilities.

Grid-based Hive building and 10 combat call-ins, with crafting stations, production structures, and permanent upgrades.

Forest and Snow, with ten-wave runs, biome-specific boss encounters, events, environmental hazards, and a full day-night cycle.

140 Skill Tree nodes and contracts, with permanent stats and banked resources feeding long-term progression.

Why Early Access

I love the moment in a survivors-like when a build clicks and I feel undefeatable, but I want to struggle on my way there and make meaningful long-term progress while I do. That’s why I made Beeline. I wanted combat that rewards strategy and skill, with the payoff of becoming wildly powerful without over-punishing a loss.

Early Access gives me the opportunity to shape Beeline around the people playing it. Your feedback will help refine balance, improve clarity, enhance game feel, and guide which content I work on first.

Early Access roadmap

These are my current priorities on the way to Beeline’s 1.0 release. Their order and details may change as development continues and I learn from your feedback. I’m aiming for six months in Early Access.

More ways to build your bee

Additional weapons and non-character abilities, weapon-and-ability merging, and new items with powerful benefits and meaningful tradeoffs. More options to build around, combine, and turn into game-breaking builds.

A more dangerous world

The Desert biome and dust storms, additional plant and animal enemies, new bosses, and expanded hazards and traps. More encounters that challenge how you move, fight, and prepare.

A stronger Hive and more of its story

Additional Hive call-ins, buildable structures, and upgrade paths. Explore more of the valley’s fall and the story behind the missing Queen as you restore your kingdom.

Continued refinement

Visual and audio improvements, additional language support, and ongoing work on balance, clarity, and game feel. Player feedback will help guide where that work is most needed.

If you’re interested, give the demo a try and consider wishlisting if you enjoy it. Early Access will begin November 6th, 2026.
