This demo contains the prologue and the whole of Chapter One of Nameless Fate — roughly 40 minutes of reading.

HOW IT PLAYS — You are Shen Yan, a scholar ordered to file the strange cases of a provincial court. When people talk, press "Record" to file their testimony; when two testimonies contradict each other, you are the one who notices. Your choices do not only change the dialogue — they change how people treat you, and how the case file is finally written.

THE STORY SO FAR — A nameless woman is found on the riverbank outside Yizhou. She was found today; the register says she has been gone for three years. The same night, the door of the county morgue is left ajar.

WHAT THE DEMO INCLUDES - The prologue in full - Chapter One in full — a thoroughly human case, with no real ghosts in it - Around 400 beats of text, 8 + 9 choices - Every system: the case file, the five leanings, relationships, the record style - Save / load / settings / gallery

THE FULL GAME — eleven chapters, about six hours, six endings. Yingning, Nie Xiaoqian, Yan Chixia, Lanruo Temple, the underworld and the Book of Life and Death are all in the full version.
