About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Bearded gnomes. Enormous drills. A pit with no bottom in sight. This is an online co-op mining game for up to 8 players: set up steampunk drills that dig on their own, sell the ore, buy bigger drills and sink the pit deeper. Then grab your crew, raid the caves in the pit walls, build guns that make no sense, climb into a mech and go looking for something very large and very angry at the bottom.

Dig. Sell. Upgrade. Repeat.

Place drills on the pit floor and watch them spit ore. Every ore they dig sinks the floor a little deeper.

Haul it to the sell pad, cash in and buy the next drill. There are 14 drill tiers , from the Rusty Drill to the Celestial Drill, and 14 ores to sell.

Your drills keep working while you are down in the caves. Come back to a fresh pile of ore.

Numbers go up. Then they get letters. K, M, B...

Decorate your hub with 30 craftable decorations , because a mining operation needs a lamp post.

Arrive like you mean it

Every run starts in a drop pod: pick your gnome inside, hit launch, burn through the sky and drill straight into the ground.

Friends who join your game drop in from the sky too. Bad landings included.

Customize your gnome: hat, beard, nose, outfit, shoes and colors. Then open cave chests to unlock 30 goofy cosmetics : traffic cone hat, banana shoes, duck floatie and worse.

A short tutorial walks new gnomes through the first drill, the first sale and the first cave. Veterans can switch it off.

Raid the caves with your crew

As the pit gets deeper, cave entrances open in its walls. Every cave is procedurally generated, so no two runs look the same.

Spiders on the ceiling, goblin archers, exploding sporelings, slimes that split, wraiths that blink behind you, ice yetis and ancient constructs.

Hordes that show up right when your bag is full.

Chests, crystals you can mine, rare materials and a holographic map tablet to find them.

Hold the line in Defend the Vault , wake the Tunnel Wyrm under your feet, or poke the sleeping Rogue Automaton. Your call.

8 biomes, from crystal to ancient steel

Crystal Caverns, Goblin Warrens, Fungal Hollows and Magma Depths.

Void Abyss, Frostdeep, Obsidian Wastes and the Ancient Foundry.

Slippery ice, lava that bites back, erupting vents and giant mushrooms that launch you across the cave.

Each biome drops its own materials, and 8 drop-only armor sets with set bonuses wait in the chests.

Build your own gun at the Gunsmith Bench

Loot guns that make no sense, then take them to the bench and make them make even less sense.

Pick the type: pistol, SMG, rifle, shotgun, blaster, launcher, beam or bazooka.

Swap body, barrel, grip, sight, stock and magazine, and watch the gun spin on the bench as you change it.

Add an element (fire, shock, acid, void or ice) and a module: bullets that pierce, bounce, split, seek or explode, or a gun that heals you.

5 rival gnome manufacturers, each with its own quirks.

Climb into a mech

Craft a gnome mech, then climb in. Drill-punch enemies, ore and cave walls, and stomp on landing.

Build a Mech Bay to upgrade armor, speed, punch, hover jets and a mounted gun.

Your mech follows you from the pit into the caves.

Every player can own one. Imagine four of them.

A gadget for every bad idea

Grappling hook, jetpack, zipline gun and platform gun to get anywhere.

Grab ledges and mantle up. Fire a bazooka at your own feet to rocket-jump (mind the splash).

A drill gun that carves new tunnels straight through the rock.

Flares, drones, sentry turrets and cogbot companions that fight and repair.

The Cinder Tyrant is waiting

Dig deep enough with the best drill and a door opens to The Abyssal Forge: a lava-moat arena, and one very big boss.

The Cinder Tyrant fights in three phases: slams, whips, fire breath, flying dives and floors that crack open. Shoot the glowing weak points.

One arena per run, so make it count. Bring friends. Bring more friends.

Beat it to unlock Prestige : ascend, restart the pit and spend prestige points on permanent upgrades like faster drills, richer ore and a head start.

Play it your way

Host online through Steam with public, friends-only or invite-only lobbies. LAN works too.

Full gamepad support and 20 languages.

Grab your friends, grab a drill, and dig. Just one more drill. Then one more cave.
