About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Make money playing games, buy a house, build your savings, and turn your whole life around?

Most people earn money so they can spend it on games. In this game, you have to run a game to earn money.

You lost your job overnight. There's barely any money left, and the interest alone on your ballooning loans is suffocating you.

One day, as you lie staring blankly at the ceiling of a rented room that shakes with your upstairs neighbor's footsteps, a mysterious message arrives.

'You can make money selling accounts for a popular game.'

Sounds shady.

But it doesn't sound like a lie, either.

Rent day is closing in, you've all but given up on job hunting, and you're not about to pass up an offer made to a broke nobody like you.

Pull, sell, pull again.

Your new workplace is Daydream Saga, a retro-styled RPG.

Use the shady gear the Undernet gave you to create accounts, skip through the story as fast as you can, pull for starter heroes, and sell the accounts on the Undernet.

The rare hero someone has always wanted becomes your living expenses for the month.

Bad pulls? Just start over and pull again. By the time you get used to it, it'll feel like a perfectly respectable job.

Use your earnings to add more devices, automate the grind, and produce more accounts.

A side hustle that began with one small screen may soon become a reroll account factory running dozens of devices.

Now that you've made money, it's time to spend it well.

Pay off your debt first? Splurge on a better computer for a better workspace? Or, just for today, a proper meal?

Your investments come back as stats that let you earn even more.

Upgrade your living, grow your savings, and through smart investing and patience, experience the thrill of finally buying a home of your own.

Selling accounts pays well, but the real cashgrind is in the gameplay.

Demand for fresh accounts will dry up someday, and before it does, you'll need a steady way to farm gold in the game and sell it.

Daydream Saga tells the story of the Daydream Dungeon, a bottomless labyrinth that suddenly appeared in the heart of the kingdom. Slay the monsters that pour out of it to keep the kingdom safe, and uncover the secret hidden on its deepest floor.

But you don't care about any of that, do you? It's a game everyone trashes as a lump of AI slop anyway.

To make money, you'll need to recruit heroes, form a party of five, gear them up, and push deeper into the dungeon.

Battles play out automatically, but who to bring, who to protect, and how to gear them up is your call.

A well-built party breaks through higher floors with ease, while a sloppy one will explain with its whole body why you need new gear.

Once you've cleared a zone, you can station patrol parties there to collect gold and gear.

Keep what you need, trade what you don't, and reinvest your resources to grow stronger. Keep pushing forward, and you could earn millions of credits a month from gold sales alone.

Of course, Daydream Saga isn't just about running the same dungeon over and over.

Test your party's limits against the raid bosses that arrive with each new hero update.

Level up your heroes and gear, rethink your lineups, and find a way past the walls that stopped you.

In the Proving Grounds, you can compete with strong rivals for rank and claim monthly Crystal rewards by climbing to the top.

You can also read the current meta from your opponents' PvP lineups as they shift with each patch and update.

If you love collecting, you can hunt for rare heroes and hidden monsters.

The rarest monsters, which almost never get caught, can fetch tens of millions of credits.

Whatever you do, time keeps moving, and the bills keep coming every month.

Dungeon bosses let you try again, but due dates won't wait for your party to get stronger.

Once you've kept up with your monthly bills and paid off your debt, it's time to start saving.

Steadily build up your ETF holdings, grow your monthly dividends, and when the time is right, you might just buy a home of your own.

But never forget: all of this is, in the end, Undernet business built on illegally created accounts.

You could do favors for the Undernet bigwigs hiding in the quantum network, or you could help the international task force digging for the truth behind the suspiciously enduring popularity of Daydream Saga, a game that's supposedly nothing but AI slop.

All you ever wanted was to get out of debt and live freely.

Will the day ever come when the flood of despairing bank bills turns into income reports?

Where this journey ends is up to you.
