Desktop Mate Mori Calliope DLC

Mori Calliope, a VTuber from COVER Corporation's hololive, joins Desktop Mate as its very first hololive collaboration!

Calling herself the Grim Reaper's first apprentice, she's a cool-yet-cute reaper singer-songwriter. Centered on her streaming activities, she has taken her music to a global stage, from collaborations with renowned artists to theme songs for anime. Now she's coming to your desktop, recreated in a brand-new 3D model created under the supervision of COVER Corporation.

In her standing pose, she crosses her arms with commanding confidence, or stands tall while looking down on you just a little—every bit the formidable reaper. Every so often, she grabs the scythe from her back, turns around, and brings it down in a powerful swing. Hide her at the edge of the screen and she peeks out with a hand against the wall. Her hiding pose is different on the left and right sides.

In her seated pose, she rests her chin on her hand, lost in wistful thought, or rests her scythe on her shoulder and taps it gently. At times she crosses her legs and tilts a glass of wine, enjoying an elegant moment. She also leans toward you with a "shh" gesture, and lies on her side to relax.

Pat her and she happily sways her head—"Kawaii? Kawaii? I'm so happy!"—before snapping back to herself and reminding herself that she's a reaper. Pink hearts float up on the screen along with skulls representing the Dead Beats (her fans) and her master, the Grim Reaper.

Poke her and she waves you off like a pesky bug, then sighs with her hands on her hips. Once in a while, she flies into a furious rage—but once she's cooled down, you might even catch her apologizing. Pick her up by the waist and she looks displeased; pick her up by the hand and she happily swings her feet while humming a tune. When the alarm rings, she jumps in with her arms crossed, twirls her scythe overhead, rests it on her shoulder, and strikes a pose by wiping the corner of her mouth with her thumb.

All voice lines are newly recorded by Mori Calliope herself, in both Japanese and English, and you can switch between them anytime in the settings menu. Even in Japanese,she slips in English lines like "I'm kibishii. I'm strict Calliope." when you pat her—a touch that's pure Mori. Enjoy the contrast between the cool reaper and the cute side that slips out now and then.
