Roadweave is a strategy game about roads. One route between two towns, cars start rolling, the towns grow, the road stops coping — and from there it is on you: a highway, a detour around the mountain, a junction before the gates, a ferry across the strait.
Roads that carry traffic. Every car drives its own route and brings money to the treasury. A road has its load, a town has its throughput, and a jam shows on the map as colour, not as a row in a table.
An area is a task. Link every town, raise the income, feed the capitals, keep the network calm, lay an express route, reach the mainland. Three stars per area: finish it, finish it in time, and build nothing extra.
Tools arrive one at a time. Highways, curved roads, ring roads, forks, one-way traffic, ports and ferries, tunnels, interchanges, airports and air links. Each new tool comes with a level and explains itself on the spot.
Four worlds. The Island of 16 areas teaches the basics, the Coast of 40 adds water, the Continents of 80 add distance, the World of 120 puts it all together. Level, experience, tools and achievements carry over; treasury and network start from scratch in every world.
Maps are generated. Coastlines, rivers, mountains, forests and marshes are built from a seed: everyone gets their own world. The daily map is the same for everybody and changes every day.
No rush. No timers, no losing: pause whenever you like, undo a build within ten seconds, demolish for half the money back. Income keeps coming while the game is closed.
12 interface languages, 15 achievements.
A patch for the demo and the full game. Gamepad You can now play from start to finish with a controller: menus, map, roads, upgrades, windows and settings. The right stick moves a cursor that snaps to cities. The left stick pans the map, triggers zoom. A selects. Press A on a selected city to start a road, then A on another city to build it. B cancels, Y undoes the last build. X moves you into the panel of the selected city or road. Bumpers and the D-pad jump between cities on screen. Start pauses, Back shows the whole map, clicking the left stick opens help. A bar at the bottom shows what each button does right now. Icons match Xbox, PlayStation or Switch controllers automatically, or you can pick them in the settings. Settings Cursor speed, stick dead zone, button hints on or off, button icon style. Interface size: Auto, 100%, 115%, 130% or 150%. Auto makes text larger on small scre...
Read full update on Steam ↗A small patch for the demo and the full game. City panel The panel keeps a fixed size and no longer twitches while numbers update. Junction load is now a bar that shifts smoothly from green to red. A white mark shows where the load will drop after a roundabout or an interchange. Less text: explanations for ports, airports and junction upgrades moved into tooltips. Exact numbers are there too. Fixes Empty tooltips no longer pop up over buttons that have nothing to explain. Daily Map (full game): roads and upgrades cost far less than before. Prices had been scaled for later regions of the campaign, which made the daily challenge too expensive from the very first road. Read full update on Steam ↗The free demo of Roadweave has been updated. Here is what's new. Seasons The year turns while you play: spring, summer, autumn and winter, about 24 minutes each. Seasons are more than looks. In autumn and winter cars drive slower, and in winter junctions clog up sooner — plan your network with the cold in mind. The top bar shows the current season and how long until it changes. Blossom in spring, falling leaves in autumn, snow in winter. A living map Living sea: ripples, shallows and surf along the coast; at night, coastal cities reflect in the water. Land texture: mountains, forests and marshes drawn like an old map. Smooth roads with proper joints and markings. City districts grow with every level, and their windows light up one by one at night. Cloud shadows, seagulls over the water and chimney smoke from connected cities. Every effect can be switched off separately in Settings — f...
