Two players, one machine, one evening
Freakopoly is a property-trading board game for two people in the same room. Roll, move, buy streets, build on them, and collect rent when your partner lands on something you own.
Rent is not only money. Every coloured property carries a task, and the task grows with the street. One house asks for very little. A hotel asks for rather more.
Nobody wins
There is no win condition and no bankruptcy screen. A player who cannot cover a payment has their tab wiped, and play carries on. The evening ends when the two of you decide it has, not when one of you loses.
How it plays
A forty-space board: eight colour groups, four stations, two utilities, and a Doghouse where the jail would be
Two card decks, Wild Night and Dare to Share
Houses, hotels, mortgages, a Free Parking pot, and four house rules you can switch on or off
Autosaves every turn, so an evening can be picked up where you left it
Five looks for the table, from firelit wood to neon
Written with some care
No task needs props, equipment, or a particular room. Whatever the game asks for, you can do where you already are.
Nothing is written to embarrass or belittle either player.
Nothing assumes who is playing. No task refers to a gender, a body or a role — the writing says "your partner" and leaves the rest to you.
It stays on your machine
Freakopoly runs entirely offline. No account, no sign-in, no connection at any point, and nothing ever leaves your computer.
