Schema Demo is the free way into Schema's worlds.

Carbon: a world to share

Carbon starts out barren: bare ground, pockets of soil and steaming geysers. Life spreads out from them over time.

You're one of the people trying to make it a home: dig, build, claim a homestead, and trade with the people around

you. Leave notes for others to find, hide and hunt geocaches, and meet the people who got here before you. Carbon is a shared world, so what you build stays, and others play alongside you.

Play in your friends' worlds

In the full game of Schema, players build their own worlds: real places from elevation data anywhere on Earth, or new lands made from scratch, filled with characters, quests and stories. When a friend shares a world with you, you join them in it with this demo.

1. Your friend gives you their world's code.

2. Sign in with Steam at and enter it.

3. Start Schema Demo. Their world is in your list.

Up to five friends can join each world, and the owner decides who stays.

Want to build your own?

The full game of Schema adds the world creator: make worlds from real terrain or from scratch, write their stories in XML, and share them with your friends.
