Update 0.5 – The town grows and comes alive
Hello shop owners, with version 0.5 your market leaves the main street: A much bigger map: side streets, two roundabouts, a town hall with a clock tower, a church, a park with a pond, a car park and dozens of new buildings. You can no longer walk off the edge of the map. Cars on the streets: they drive on the right, brake for you and for pedestrians, and give way to the main street. The cars have been rebuilt from scratch, with rolling wheels, headlights and brake lights at dusk and night, and engine sound. More life: pedestrians and customers come out of the houses and walk back in, all over the map. New products: a second product wave with packaging modelled on real supermarket products. Find your way to the stockroom Green signs guide you through the office to a clearly framed entrance. Signage is available in German and English. Room for your backstock Storage upgrade descriptions now explain the access route and total area in the upgrade shop: Storage I: level 6, price 1,800 – 32 m² in total. Storage II: level 20, price 4,500 – 64 m² in total; requires Storage I. Storage III: level 40, price 9,000 – 96 m² in total; requires Storage II. Buy the existing storage racks and place them where you want. The main menu and loading screen now display version 0.4.

This update improves how customers shop: Customers approach the correct stocked shelf face and reach for their items there. Picking is timed: An item is taken after about 0.5 seconds, and the movement finishes after about 0.9 seconds. After a successful pickup, that product briefly appears in the customer's right hand. Basket holding, low shelf reaches and foot placement have been corrected. The shopping basket stand is available in the store computer's furniture catalog for €55, with no license required. Use B to place it yourself near the entrance in build mode. The stand supplies unlimited baskets by default. Its six visible baskets do not limit the number of customers shopping at once.
