About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

It is 2077.  For forty years Consensus has made everyone agree. The world lives inside Takarek, a tower of 17,769 floors, and anything nobody has opened in twenty years gets deleted.

You are Alex. Twenty years old, a few months into the job, and the job is doing the deleting. Tonight an envelope with no sender tells you to save one file instead. The file is almost gone. What is left of it is a joke.

Puzzles you solve with impossible hands

Every mission gives you a new power, and every room asks you to use it in a way you did not expect.

Tether : pull what is light to your hand, and fling yourself at what is heavy.

Rewind : send one object back along its own past and let go at the right moment.

Shout : sound is force. Shove drums, trolleys and anything else that will not listen.

Vow of silence : make no sound at all in a building that is always listening.

And more, which the building hands you when you are ready for it.

A tower that does not want you climbing it

Clock vaults that run on stopped time. An archive where noise is dangerous. A cutting room, a flooded mirror, a waiting room that is not what it seems.

Getting through them is half the game. Walk the wires. Cross between the ticks. Ride a minute hand up to the loft, time your jumps across pads that breathe, and find a way over a causeway that is not there any more. Every floor of Takarek is a different kind of strange, and most of them are trying to drop you.

Funny first, then not

The hidden file was written as jokes with four meanings each, so the censors let them through. Play arcade cabinets for tokens, answer a customer feedback terminal, and talk a vending machine into taking a coin that stopped existing forty years ago. Then find out why someone risked everything to hide those jokes.

And one way out

When the puzzles run out, the building sends its machines. The final mission is a running gunfight across the grounds of Takarek with six weapons and everything you have learned.
