About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

A dark, slightly comedic (if you like dark humour) survival bunker simulation. If you don't want to see billionaires and politicians get eaten, mutant bugs and raiders swarm you, cannibalism and worker-abuse, this game is probably not for you. This is the work of a solo developer who isn't a big fan of billionaires (big surprise, eh?). The game still has some placeholder graphics and some awful UI-rough edges (still working on a final look for that), but...it is fully playable and non-crashy... and has a level editor :)

BUILD YOUR BUNKER:

Use your workers to construct a nuclear bunker. Make it luxurious enough... and the billionaires will come! Workers mine 'shale ore' deposits - your main resource for building, making, farming and construction. Most importantly, for constructing radiation shielding to protect your bunker dwellers from the frequent radiation storms.

FEED YOUR BILLIONAIRES:

Billionaires arrive by helicopter (of course they do). They love meat... HUMAN MEAT! Which means finding enough poor suckers out in the wasteland to keep them happy. Send your 'enforcers' out into the wilderness to 'hunt' for survivors and loot items.

ENTERTAIN THEM:

Billionaires get bored... very easily, they like shiny things. You can keep them happy by cramming their VIP LOUNGE with luxuries and interesting perks found outside in the irradiated wilderness. But, on occasion, if you need to boost their APPROVAL RATING, then you can keep them happy and entertained with theatrical displays of casual brutality and cruelty!

... And, out of the 'kindness of their hearts', if they feel entertained enough, they may reward you with a supply of anti-radiation pills to keep you (the bunker 'manager') and your workers from dying of radiation sickness.

CARING FOR YOUR WORKERS:

Let's not forget, you have a duty of care for your workforce, they need to eat, sleep and also... have some down time. Build a 'Rec Room' and fill it with luxuries and perks scavenged from the irradiated wasteland above. Workers' morale is boosted by spending time in there. Which is IMPORTANT. Because if moral drops too low, some of your workers may quietly becomes TRAITORS! Traitors will begin to smuggle food (and weapons) to any of the poor wretches waiting in your prison to become meat.

AND THEN - THERE ARE THE HAZARDS!

This post-nuclear-war world has its own weather system. Frequent radiation surges will arrive and need to be prepared for. Manufacture and deploy shielding to protect the rooms that are most often occupied! When the warning siren sounds you'll want to send your people to the most shielded rooms... if you care a damn about them, that is.

And it's not just radiation you need to worry about... if those prisoners have had enough food (and weapons) smuggled into the prison that they feel strong enough and ready enough to break out... you've got an UPRISING on your hands. The prisoners will break out, and with all the pent up rage and resentment, well... I wouldn't want to be a Billionaire!

WIN CONDITION:

You've got a choice. You can try and fill the Billionaire APPROVAL BAR. When it hits 'max', you've done it! You've 'won'. On the other hand, you might reach a point where you've had enough of pandering to their whims and needs and think, 'you know what - screw them'... and you decide to eat those entitled, privileged b@%stards instead.

BILLIONAIRE's BUNKER is a sandbox, it's a sim... it's a metaphor... it's a moral choice. Whose side are you really on? The 1%... or the rest of us?
