About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

POKER

Every round starts with a hand of poker, but the deck is made entirely of chess pieces.

Bet, bluff, and build the strongest hand you can. The cards you collect determine which pieces you’ll have available in the battle ahead, and strong poker hands earn additional rewards.

PLACEMENT

Once the cards are revealed, turn your hand into an army.

Choose where to place your pieces on the board and build a position around the forces you were dealt. Every round gives you a different army, so there’s no standard opening to fall back on.

CHESS

Then the battle begins.

Take turns moving and capturing pieces using familiar chess rules, but with armies and starting positions shaped by everything that happened during the poker and placement phases.

Outplay your opponent at the table, build the better position, and win the round through checkmate.
