About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Dungeon Miner is a 1–4 player co-op mining game about heading down into the mine, digging up ore, and carrying it back to the ship in your own two arms .

Gear up aboard the ship and descend into a mine that's generated fresh every run. Small gear like your pickaxe and flashlight stays on your body, but the huge ore you dig out doesn't fit in any inventory. You have to pick it up and carry it yourself.

Swing your pickaxe at a vein and crystals come tumbling out. The bigger and rarer they are, the more they're worth, but the moment you wrap both arms around a big one, you can't use your pickaxe or a weapon. When something closes in through the dark, the crystal in your arms is both a precious haul and an awkward burden.

No damage numbers, no health bar. Get caught once and that's it. In exchange, every threat gives you a warning first: a sound, a light, a movement. Whatever a fallen teammate dropped, the rest of the crew can pick up and bring home. Spend what you've cashed in to recruit a new miner, and they'll join you on the next run.

The cart is a handcart you pile things onto . It's slow, and if it tips, your ore spills out. Lay down rails and run a rail cart instead and it's faster and leaves your hands free, but it takes an investment.

Once you've gathered enough ore, pull the Dungeon Core at the very bottom. The moment you do, the mine starts to collapse and a three-minute countdown begins. Everything hiding in the dark bursts out at once and comes after you. Abandon the cart and run, or hold on a little longer for the ore? That call decides whether this run pays off. Only what you throw into the ship's intake counts as money, and the Dungeon Core becomes fuel for the next voyage.

The mine is built fresh every run. Straight, man-made tunnels and winding natural caves join up at random into a tight, tangled maze, and you won't know where the veins are, or what's lurking where, until you go down. Pick the size of your next mine at the ship's CRT terminal. The bigger and deeper it is, the bigger the payout, and the bigger the danger.

Your base is a ship docked deep inside a tunnel. Buy gear with what you've earned, pick the next mine, and head back down. Dig your way deep on your own at your own pace, or take on a mining run with a crew of up to four .
