About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

They measured us. Today the bars came down.

You are the first to break out of the research lab. Outside wait fences, mercenaries and hunters sent to bring you back – and behind all of that, hundreds of your own kind, still locked up.

Every facility you tear down brings them a step closer to freedom. At the end waits APEX: their perfect soldier, made from your kind and turned against it.

Fifteen dinosaurs on three paths

Carnivore – hits hard and takes little

Herbivore – shrugs off what floors the others

Special – marine reptiles, a pterosaur, a sabre-toothed cat

Every dinosaur grows through three ages, brings two passive values of its own and has its own ultimate – fifteen different ones, from the death bite to the deep calm. A dinosaur you have unlocked stays available for good: the furthest one is not always the best.

A fight you have to show up for

The fight carries on when you walk away – but whoever stays is far stronger:

The perfect bite – hit the moment just before the strike and deal almost double. Ten of those set off the hunting frenzy.

Dodging – when the chance comes, the fight stops. A bar runs, you press inside the green field. Miss it and the blow lands.

Security doors – a locked airlock stands before every boss. A number code, a switch sequence, a data stream through the grid, or a test animal taken apart.

What you build up

A skill tree of 27 abilities, with up to fifty levels each – damage, health, speed, loot and evolution

Bone artefacts in six tiers, from common to godlike. Matching ones merge into better ones; godlike artefacts never drop as loot and are crafted from two mystic artefacts of different types.

Chests and keys – a separate kind for every tier, plus a guaranteed find when luck stays away too long

A fresh start that carries your freed kin over and makes you permanently stronger

Three ways to play

Story – fifteen worlds up to APEX

Challenge – the same worlds, your own rule set built from fourteen switches

Endless – the worlds never stop, the enemies grow with you, and a prestige doubles your base values

And while you are away

Your dinosaur keeps hunting. Not as well as you do – but you will not come back empty-handed.
