About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

See nothing. Hear everything.

You are blind. There are no lights, no map, and no way to simply look around. In Blind Night, the only way to see is to throw Sonar and watch the world ripple into view around you. Every level is a handcrafted puzzle-maze built around that single idea, and you are not the only thing moving through the dark.

Features

A full game built on echolocation. Click to throw Sonar. It pings once on impact and expands outward, briefly revealing walls, platforms, gaps, and anything nearby. There is no limit and no cooldown, so use it as often as you need. The enemies emit their own pings too, which is how you'll spot them.

15 handcrafted levels. Work your way through mazes and puzzles built around walls, moving platforms, and bottomless pits. You're blind, so there's no jumping: every step has to be planned and every gap respected.

Enemies you can barely make out. Indecipherable beings that appear only as spheres in the echo. Some patrol set routes, others listen for you. Move quickly, move carefully, and don't get caught.

Atmospheric soundtrack and sound design. Audio is your lifeline here. Headphones aren't required, but they're strongly recommended.

No checkpoints, one difficulty. Mistakes cost you. Every level asks you to learn its layout, trust your ears, and get it right.

About 2 to 8 hours of play, depending on how quickly you learn the dark.

23 Steam achievements, including challenge runs like clearing levels without throwing Sonar once, plus a few for the player who just keeps getting caught.

Most games use echolocation as a trick. This one is built on it.

Plenty of games give you a sonar pulse or a sound-based ability. Blind Night makes it the entire game: no flashlight, no vision, no fallback. The final level will test everything you've learned along the way. Can you reach the end?
