About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Emojix is a cozy logic puzzle game. You place emoji characters on a board, and each character is a piece with its own shape. Fill every cell of the board and make sure every character is happy with where it stands.

How to play

Each character has conditions about where it stands and who it stands next to:

Friends must touch, rivals must not

Some must touch a certain number of other characters

Some must touch another character along a certain number of sides

Some must be above, below, left, or right of another character

Some must be on the edge of the board, others away from it

Some must be near an object on the board, others away from it

Groups must stay together or stay apart

Every piece shows its conditions, and you can check which ones are met at any time. A puzzle is solved when the board is full and every condition is met.

100 levels in 10 places

The campaign has 100 levels in ten places, from the Meadow to the Night City. Each place adds a new rule and has its own music. The first levels take a minute. Later ones mix several rules and take real thinking.

Characters react to your moves

Characters send hearts when they stand next to a friend and get angry next to a rival. When all of a character's conditions are met, it gets a check mark. Click a piece to hear a note, or click it quickly eight times to play a full octave. Every object on the board does something when you click it: a light bulb turns off the lights, ice freezes the board, a slot machine spins. If you leave the board alone for a while, a cat may come and sleep next to it.

A secret in every level

Each of the 100 levels has a hidden secret that fits its emoji. Some are in the interface, others happen after a certain move. In level 40 unicorns gallop across a rainbow. In level 94 a ghost flies past a mirror that shows no reflection. In level 100 the slot machines hit the jackpot. Levels where you found the secret are marked with ✨.

A photo of every solved puzzle

When you solve a puzzle, you take a photo of it with a camera. You can shake the Polaroid to make it develop faster. Sometimes one of the characters from the main menu jumps into the shot. There are four of them to catch.

Photo album

All your photos go into an album. It has a page for each place, a calendar for Daily puzzles, a film strip for Endless mode, and a page for rare photos. You can put any photo on the cover, save it to your Steam screenshots, or start a level right from the album.

Daily and Endless

Daily Puzzle: a new puzzle every day

Endless: generated puzzles with no end, each one checked by a solver

Both modes are open from the start.

No time limits

There is no timer, no move limit, and no lives. You can undo moves and restart a level at any time.
