About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Build a Bronze Age empire in a real-time 4X grand strategy game where battlefield tactics, logistics and political upheaval shape every campaign. Trade caravans support your armies. Roads make dangerous crossings more manageable. Government reforms can weaken your forces just as a war reaches its decisive moment.

Start with your first settlement. Build the economy that supports your ambitions and decide how far it can carry you.

Fight for position

Fix their front. Strike their flank. Engage an enemy head-on, then bring another force around its exposed side. Pike formations resist frontal assaults but suffer heavily when attacked from behind.

Choose the weapon and the ground. Armour, armour penetration, unit counters and opening charges affect combat. Archers gain range on high ground; cavalry and chariots fight better on open terrain.

Keep your veterans alive. Survivors gain experience and combat strength. Retreat costs casualties, making the timing of withdrawal a decision with lasting consequences.

Supply the advance

Bring your logistics with you. Camel caravans serve as both traders and mobile supply support. Away from friendly territory or a nearby caravan, armies exhaust their reserves, lose combat effectiveness and eventually suffer starvation losses.

Build the route before the invasion. Deserts drain supplies. Mountains slow columns and kill soldiers even without enemy contact. Roads reduce these penalties, making infrastructure part of your campaign plan.

Force the march and pay for it. Rush reinforcements into position at the cost of supplies and exhausted soldiers. Concentrating units creates tougher armies, but every merged unit still adds to their supply consumption.

Reform and face the consequences

Change your government to unlock different policies, then deal with the interests displaced by your decision.

Clan chiefs can raise rebel warbands. Cities can claim independence. Provincial governors can defect to a rival.

Strikes disrupt production, bureaucratic resistance cuts city yields, and command crises weaken your troops. Choose how to respond while your empire bears the cost.

Fight over more than cities

Raid farms and mines to interrupt enemy income. Protect the workers who must repair the damage.

Establish trade routes that enrich both partners including potential rivals. Build alliances, compete for city-state support, and spread cultural influence through commerce and diplomacy.

Bring siege engines against fortified cities. After victory, annex, establish a puppet, sack or raze what you have taken.

Pursue conquest, scientific achievement or cultural influence . A cultural victory requires winning over every surviving rival while keeping peace with them all.
