Description
Build matter, one bond at a time
Atom By Atom is a minimalist factory automation game where raw elements flow through Matter Tubes and are bonded into precise molecular structures. Your factory surrounds a hungry black hole. It wants specific molecules.
Extract, route, react
Discover elemental clouds in a seeded world, place Extractors, and draw continuous Tube networks. Dividers balance materials between production lines, while automatic bridges let routes cross without mixing. Later, Wormholes connect distant parts of the factory, a unique factory game mechanic.
Structure matters
Every molecule keeps its atoms, bond orders, connectivity, and open valences. A formula is only the beginning: what you feed into a machine determines what can come out.
Start by producing H2 and H2O. Later, unlock machines that cleave, substitute, oxidize, cyclize, polymerize, condense and hydrolyze increasingly complex matter.
Visual markers show unused valences, machine inputs, outputs and moving molecular structures. Exact step-by-step recipes are available when a new reaction is introduced.
Feed the black hole
Complete molecular contracts to advance, unlock new elements and machines and transform a simple extraction line into a sprawling chemical factory. The black hole accepts deliveries from every side and turns production goals into the center of your layout.
Scale your solution
Trace long Tube paths, rotate and flip machines, copy and paste production blocks, and save reusable Blueprints that you can share with anybody. Seeded maps, minimap markers, factory statistics, machine efficiency readouts, portable save codes are just a few of the many functions this game offers.
A must have for any factory game, space and chemistry enthusiast!
