About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Miniciv is a turn‑based strategy game blending 4X spirit with a hex‑grid map. Starting with a single city and one settler, you explore, expand, develop and conquer across vast hex‑shaped lands — ignite the spark of civilisation and forge it into a mighty empire stretching across mountains and rivers. It features an accessible learning curve while offering deep layers of warlord politics, trade routes, faith and industrial steam‑age mechanics. Game sessions vary in length, and every map generates a brand‑new epic of rise and fall.

In Miniciv , you take command of a distinct civilisation, guiding it from antiquity all the way to the modern era. Found cities from scratch, research technologies, adopt policies and forge diplomatic ties. Turn your small patch of land into a world‑renowned power through productivity and ingenuity. Maps are procedurally generated. Resources, terrain and uniquely‑skilled opponents ensure no two playthroughs are alike. Choose to bide your time, build up and ascend, or unleash your cavalry to unify the world — every choice is yours.

Key Features

13 Distinct Factions, each with unique signature mechanics From feudal kingdoms and commercial republics, devout monastic orders, to the Explorers’ Coalition, Settlers’ Syndicate, Academy of Truth, War Tribes, Ancestor‑Tree Clans, Ancient Remnants, Nautical Guild, Undying Church and Void Invaders. Every faction comes with replacement units and exclusive abilities: Kingdoms field mass levied militias; Republics weave federations through trade routes and city‑states; Explorers survey the world with scouting overwatch and expedition pacts; the Undying Church raises undead legions via death altars; Void Invaders transform their territory into void tiles yielding 1/1/1/1/1 resources. The same map becomes an entirely new game with a different faction.

Dual‑Progression: Culture & Technology The tech tree spans from ancient times to the modern age, unlocking infantry, firearms, ironclad warships and modern ground forces. The culture tree (Authoritarianism, Egalitarianism, Militarism, Prosperity, Exploration and more) lets you shape your governance via policy picks. Scientific research and cultural advancement progress side‑by‑side, with every modifier defining your development path.

Palace Layout Design & Governor Governance Design your palace layout by hand to boost tile yields. Appoint governors specialising in military, treasury, research, culture and production, enabling specialised roles for every city.

Layered Diplomacy & Resolutions Diplomacy goes far beyond declaring war and suing for peace: wage wars, sign peace treaties, form alliances, levy tributes, establish vassal systems and manage auto‑vassalised city‑states. Access universal resolutions such as festivals and expansion acts, plus faction‑specific main quests including territorial expansion, trade‑network construction and building cities of plenty to advance your national agenda step‑by‑step.

Endless Possibilities Beyond Raw Statistics Combat units are categorised into melee, ranged, siege and naval branches. The civilisation mastery tree unlocks special abilities such as war cries, battle auras, charges and void‑barrage attacks, allowing units to transcend bare stat values. An out‑of‑game meta‑progression system unlocks perks with experience, gradually strengthening your starting conditions and national power. Adjustable difficulty ranging from level 1 to 15, plus map sizes from small to large, cater to both new and hardcore players.

Multiple Victory Conditions, Flexible Game Pace Beyond the standard Conquest victory, factions such as the Explorers’ Coalition can achieve a unique Exploration victory by traversing the map and encountering every other faction. Play quick 120‑turn speed runs, or embark on marathon campaigns of gradual expansion — you fully control the rhythm of each playthrough.

Dual‑Language Support Full seamless toggle between Simplified Chinese and English localisation.

In Miniciv , every hex tile represents your domain, and every decision shapes an era. Where will your civilisation go from here?
