About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Hey, I’m Nana! Welcome to my place—

Wait, don’t sit there! That’s a dango. It just happens to look a lot like a cushion. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

We get four time slots a day: morning, afternoon, evening, and night. How should we spend each one? Work on a game, study, pick up a shift, have some fun, head out, or get some rest? My energy, mood, and wallet would all like a say in the matter. With the dango and our friends keeping us company, let’s keep making better games together!

Here’s my workspace, where I learn new skills and work on my games. I gather inspiration, put together a plan, and chip away at development, one little step at a time. Buying the right assets can save us some work, too. Then there’s a demo to make, feedback to gather, and a game to promote and release. We might even team up with a publisher. It can all make my head spin, but getting a game out into the world feels so good. And finally, the most important job of all: crossing my fingers that lots of people will enjoy playing it.

My first ten games might not be perfect, but hey, maybe someone will love number eleven. What do you think?

And here’s where I kick back. I unwind, have some fun, and see if I can dream up anything for my next game. Speaking of fun, how about we play something together? …Actually, no. No more games. I’ve been playing way too much lately. I should get out for some fresh air now and then. Maybe I’ll find a little inspiration—or even make a new friend.

If I ever get rich, I’m buying a huuuge sofa and spending a good two weeks curled up on it, playing games.

Oh! I never properly introduced the dango, did I? They’ll be sharing our home, too. Set them up at their workstations, and they’ll help us make games. They’re cute, and they work hard. No funny ideas just because they look like snacks, okay?

I love collecting different keyboards, too, and every so often I feel like switching up my room’s theme. The view from the window is lovely, and there’s something so cozy about staying in when it rains. I really do love my little home. Come hang out with me sometime, okay? I’ll write down all the lovely little moments, and all the memories we make together.

Want to start this diary with me, right from page one?

P.S. If you add Nana’s Game Dev Diary to your wishlist… I’ll take that as a “see you soon.”
