About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Pick your team. Watch them play.

Auto Ball is a soccer auto-battler where you draft a roster of animal characters and set them loose on the pitch in games that plays out entirely on their own. There's no input during the match itself. Your strategy happens beforehand with who you buy, who you place, and where you place.

How a round goes

Shop - The shop deals you characters out of a pool shared with every other player in the lobby. Buy three copies of a 1-star character to combine them into 2-star. Combine two 2-star characters to make a 3-star. More stars equals better stats and abilities.

Place - Placement matters. A striker parked in your own goal is slow to the ball. A defender pushed up front leaves the net open. Drag your squad onto the field and build the perfect formation.

Watch - Chase, tackle, dash, shield, ignite. Every character has a movement style and an ability that fires on its own. Watch the match play out and see whether your team has what it takes.

Features

Synergies - Every character carries traits - Predator, Herd, Arctic, Fire, and more. Stack enough of the same trait and your whole team gets a bonus. Sometimes one more synergy beats one more body on the field.

Strategy - Roles matter. A defensive wall, an all-out offense, a balanced split - figure out which shape wins against the lobby you're actually playing.

Shared unit pools - Every team shops from the same pool of characters. What you buy is what someone else can't. Reading the table matters as much as reading your own hand.

Items - Items drop between rounds and merge into stronger versions. Equip one to sharpen what a character already does best.

32 characters and counting - From a sniper mole that tunnels underground to a ball-chasing lion that sets the ball on fire, every character has its own stats, movement AI, and ability.

Online - Play ranked and climb a ladder, drop into an unranked lobby padded with bots, host a private match with friends, or just play solo against bots offline. 8-player lobbies run a round-robin tournament - face every opponent once, most points wins.
