Command a mercenary mech company in a turn-based tactical RPG. Plan every move on a hex battlefield, manage heat and localized damage, develop veteran pilots, repair battered machines, and carry the consequences of each mission into the next.
Meridian Strike is a turn-based tactical mech RPG about winning battles — and living with what they cost.
Command a small mercenary company across dangerous contracts where positioning, heat, armor, terrain and pilot skill determine who comes home.
Battles take place on tactical hex battlefields. Choose your positions, line up firing solutions and queue orders before committing the round.
Movement, range, cover, line of sight and terrain all matter. A good position can turn an inferior machine into a threat. A bad decision can leave an expensive mech exposed, overheated or crippled.
Armor and internal structure are tracked by location. Lose an arm and you may lose the weapons mounted there. Leg damage can reduce mobility. Severe damage can leave a machine out of action until your company can afford to repair it.
Heat is just as important as armor. Push your weapons too hard and systems begin to lock down. Sometimes the right decision is not to fire.
Pilots gain experience, improve their skills and develop into veterans over the course of the campaign.
They can also be injured — or lost.
The pilot who survives a desperate battle today may become the person you rely on several missions later.
Victory does not reset the board.
Repair damaged machines, manage injuries, choose salvage, watch your funds and decide when your company is ready to deploy again.
Every battle leaves a mark on your pilots, your machines and your finances.
Choose which machines to deploy and which pilots should command them. Different chassis, weapons and pilot strengths reward different tactical approaches.
A fast scout can exploit a flank. A durable frontline machine can anchor a chokepoint. Long-range platforms need clear firing lanes. Hot-running weapon systems demand careful heat management.
There is rarely one correct answer.
Turn-based hex combat with plan-then-resolve orders
Localized armor and internal damage
Heat management and weapon trade-offs
Persistent pilots with experience, injuries and progression
Persistent machine damage and repairs
Company finances, salvage and campaign time
Terrain, line of sight, cover and positioning
Multiple missions and tactical objectives
Custom scenarios for additional battles
Win the contract. Keep the company alive. Bring your pilots home.
This update brings a substantial interface refresh, more atmospheric battles, clearer combat information, and improvements to campaign missions and reliability. - A refreshed command interface. Headquarters, mission briefings, deployment, and Settings now share a military-console style, with personnel files, maintenance records, clearer icons, and more consistent typography. Company funds and campaign time are easier to find, with less repeated information across screens. - A clearer Mech Bay and Repair Bay. Weapon comparisons now show before-and-after damage, heat, and capacity. A new record sheet displays armor, structure, and heat capacity alongside the chassis. Repair options make costs and completion times easier to compare, with layout fixes for smaller screens and larger text settings. - Weather and time-of-day conditions. Battles can now take place at dusk, at night, or in rai...
Read full update on Steam ↗Meridian Strike 0.1.16 brings smarter enemies, more tactical combat and improved campaign storytelling. - More rewarding flanking: Rear armor protects the mech’s shared core. Breaking through it creates a dangerous opening—protect your rear and look for opportunities to get behind heavier opponents. - Ram attacks can take ground: A successful ram can push an enemy back one hex and move your mech into its position. Mass and bracing affect the chance of success, giving both sides new ways to contest relay objectives. - Enemies search through fog of war: Enemy mechs patrol in small groups, investigate last-known contacts and react when they detect your company. Their tactical roles and mission responsibilities guide their behavior. - Focused aiming improvements: Aimed shots increase the likelihood of hitting your chosen location while retaining their accuracy tradeoff. - Last-resort craw...

Mech Bay Overhaul - Completely redesigned the Mech Bay into a more intuitive, single-screen workshop. - Customize your mechs by swapping weapons, selecting hardpoints, and redistributing armor between body locations. - Install weapons using clicks or drag-and-drop, with clearer indications of compatible hardpoints. - See armor allocation, installed equipment, heat, refit costs, and workshop time more easily. - Improved chassis blueprints and visual feedback when selecting individual body parts. - The Machines screen now clearly displays each mech's installed weapons and equipment. Battle Interface Improvements - Redesigned enemy information panels to make armor, structure, weapons, an...
Read full update on Steam ↗The battle map now fills the screen from side to side, and it refits when you open or close Intel or Command. Hover a hex and the terrain card sits in the lower right, just above Facing: cover, move or jump cost, brace, line of sight, and cooling, on a glassy panel that stays out of the way. You can still click mechs and hexes through it. The enemy intel panel is slightly see-through, so the map stays readable underneath. Moving no longer wrecks your aim. A target that stands still is easier to hit, mechs shed a little more heat, and you can pick a controlled salvo. The command panel is tighter, heat is easier to read, and you can edit a queued shot before you commit. Enemy skill stays fixed for the battle and matches the difficulty you were shown. On the last days of a contract you can still launch the fight you are required to take. Losing the Crucible, standing down, or running out...
Read full update on Steam ↗Orders now match what the round actually does. While shut down you can still queue Push Through and Emergency Vent. Salvo hit chances follow each shot’s heat, and Fire then Move uses the heat you will have after the salvo. Shared Focus, called shots, and a second Brace no longer queue when they would not resolve. Hovering your own machine shows its armor, structure, and heat again. The terrain card is smaller and easier to see past while you plan a move.
Read full update on Steam ↗Your pilots now grow into specialists. At skill 7 they unlock trained battle actions: sharp-reflexed pilots can go on Overwatch and fire at enemies that move into their sights, and skilled gunners can take a Called Shot at a chosen part of the target. Levelling a pilot now changes how you play them, not just their numbers. All eight chassis have new directional art. Hit chances are no longer a mystery. Hover a target, and you get a full breakdown of what's helping or hurting the shot (range, cover, movement, heat, arc), so you can see exactly why it's 62% and what would make it better. The mech shop has more customization: Per-hull armour allocation, so you choose where the plating goes. New equipment can be added such as sensor and targeting computer. Loadout presets which you can save and reuse. A redesigned machine bay where you can give your hulls their own names. Plus clearer bat...
Read full update on Steam ↗The new theater is The Crucible Circuit, Full edition only, unlocked after Ember Reach. Your company enters the Grand Crucible as it stands: same pilots, machines, damage, and credits. Eight 1v1 bouts, each opponent heavier than the last. You wager one machine. Win, and you take theirs in the condition you left it. Lose, and that hull is gone, but the pilot stays. If you still have a lighter machine that can fight, you can try the same bout again or withdraw. Nothing forces you to stay in the tournament. Also in this update: Battle-map mechs are cleaner and easier to read. Each chassis sits in its own tile, company units have a cyan-teal glow, and hostiles have a red-amber glow. The deployment hangar lists hulls from lightest to heaviest. Community scenario installs work again when the download hides its checksum header. Battle playback, enemy intel, machine condition, withdrawal resu...
