Dungeoneers Idle is an endless idle RPG about building a party and letting it work, with the option to jump in and play any hero yourself.
Assemble a team from twelve hero classes, carve each hero's path through a huge passive tree, and send them into procedurally generated dungeons. Combat resolves itself. Your job is the decisions that matter: who goes, which skills they bring, what they wear and which piece of gear is worth crafting into something special. Early on you make those calls by hand. Later, you buy the automation that makes them for you.
It keeps going when you don't. Close the game, come back tomorrow, and your party will have spent the night clearing dungeons, levelling up and swapping in better gear.
It doesn't run out. Hero levels have no cap, the depths keep scaling as fast as your party does, and every prestige measures you against your own deepest run rather than a fixed target. This is an idler built for months, not for an evening.
Companion Mode folds the game into a small, see-through window you can place anywhere on your screen. Your party keeps fighting while you work, watch something or play another game, and a double-click brings the full game back.
Twelve hero classes: Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Cleric, Ranger, Pyromancer, Druid, Necromancer, Barbarian, Ninja, Electromancer and Bard. Five are yours from the start.
Hand-authored skills, unlocked and levelled with gold. Each hero carries only two (at first) into a dungeon, so a loadout is a real decision rather than a checklist.
A passive tree of over 1000 nodes for every hero. Save your favourite builds or export them as a code to share, and two heroes of the same class can still play nothing alike.
Start with room for two heroes and earn your way to four.
Five dungeon types: Crypt, Cave, Fortress, Temple and Frost. Generated fresh every time, each with its own themed enemies.
An overworld of eight biomes to push outward through, from plains and forest to volcanic wastes.
Combat with status effects, elites, bosses and summoned minions.
Enemies, bosses and dungeon art made from scratch for this game, from scrappy goblin raiders to a Goblin King in a crown he definitely stole.
Hero View: watch any dungeon in first person, through the eyes of one of your heroes.
Take Over: grab the controls and play that hero yourself, with WASD and the mouse, while the rest of the party fights alongside you. Hand them back whenever you like.
Arrows and spells fly for real and light up the dark as they go. Knock the dead flying with ragdoll corpses.
Nine extra achievements and three trials just for steering a hero. All optional, so idle players miss nothing.
Five rarities, Common through Legendary. Epic and Legendary pieces roll three or four stats, so no two drops look alike.
80 special effects that change how a hero fights, many made for a single class: crits that freeze enemies solid, a basic attack that strikes twice, enemies that explode when they die, an angel that pulls a hero back from death once per dungeon.
Effects roll their own strength, so there is always a better version out there.
Lock your favourites so nothing great ever gets sold by accident.
Found something you love? Keep it. Crafting turns the gear you would have thrown away into the gear you never take off.
Salvage what you don't need into Shards.
Hone a single stat a little higher with every try.
Reforge an old favourite up to your current depth, so a great find stays great.
The toughest monsters leave rare trophies behind that give your best pieces an extra line.
Bank the best stats and effects from every Epic and Legendary you salvage, then imprint them onto the gear you actually wear.
The dungeoneering runs itself from the first minute. Your party explores, fights and hauls loot home whether you are watching or not.
The managing doesn't, though. Not at first. Early on you level your heroes by hand, spend their passive points, pick their gear and decide what's worth keeping. Then you start buying that work away. Auto-level, Auto-Delve through the passive tree, auto skill levelling, Auto-Equip, loot filters, Auto-Hone: every one of them is a job you do for the last time.
Gold replaces experience. Everything the party earns is also everything you spend.
Prestige when the depth stops giving, and convert the run into permanent progress.
A branching meta tree with a branch for every class, plus automation, economy, alchemy, crafting, party size and more.
Nine potions to unlock, collect and use.
25 challenges that bend the rules of a run, from melee-only parties to monsters that never stop healing.
Every challenge has five medals, Bronze to Diamond, and each one gives that save a permanent bonus.
100 achievements, each with a small permanent bonus for all your saves.
Buy it once. No microtransactions and no premium currency.
Offline progress. The simulation catches up on the time you were away, and if you’re in a hurry, you can skip the wait and take the gold.
Playable with the mouse alone. Taking over a hero is entirely optional, so nothing ever asks for quick reflexes.
Three named save slots.
Optional keyboard shortcuts for opening menus, if you'd rather not reach for the mouse.
Steam Cloud support, so your saves and builds follow you to every PC.
Dungeoneers Idle asks for a few minutes of decisions and gives you back the rest of the day.
A new patch is now live! Skills can now be evolved and leveled up forever. Elites and bosses can roll affixes, and I adjusted some aspects of the game to make it feel better. Please let me know what you think over on the Discord server.New:Past dungeon level 25, some elites, bosses and brutes have picked up new tricks, and they pay better for the trouble. When one passes level 20 it evolves and keeps growing with every level you buy, with a bigger step every 5 levels. Read full update on Steam ↗A small patch with some memory optimization.Fixed:Passive Tree: Opening the tree could crash the game on PCs with built-in graphics and little memory. It now uses a fraction of the graphics memory and runs smoother everywhere, looking exactly the same.Backpack and Gear: A full bag ate a big slice of graphics memory, enough to trouble PCs with built-in graphics. It now takes a sliver of that and looks just the same.Online Planner: Save Image left a big empty space under your build, and a really long build saved no picture at all. Both are fixed, so every build saves as one tidy picture.Online Planner: Builds stopped at 655 points, well short of the whole tree. Now your plan can reach every corner of it.Thanks for playing, and keep the feedback coming in the Discord server.-VindR

Please let me know what you think over on the Discord server.Improved:The Passive Tree map now drags, zooms and searches smoothly, even zoomed all the way out.Balance:Last Rite: Now steps in once per fight instead of once per dungeon. Read full update on Steam ↗A minor fix for the offline progression screen.Fixed:If your party cleared the demo's last map while you were away, claiming your rewards could get stuck on "Building the overworld…". The map now builds like it should. The end-of-demo note waits politely until you're back with your party. Thanks for playing, and keep the feedback coming in the Discord server.-VindR

Read full update on Steam ↗A big art update! I've spent a lot of time on this, and everything new you'll meet below was made from scratch for Dungeoneers Idle instead of coming from an asset pack.New:Goblins have moved in! A whole new enemy family made just for this game, mostly found in caves: scrappy little goblins with daggers and bows, Hobgoblin brutes and shamans, and a Goblin King wearing a crown he definitely stole.Something huge has been spotted deep in the dungeons, and those who saw it only say the ground shook. Keep your eyes open!Improved:Every dungeon type now dresses its rooms with brand-new models, from glittering ice in the frost halls to glowing mushrooms in the caves. Beaten bosses open a swirling magic portal instead of a plain staircase, and each dungeon type's portal burns its own colour.Heroes who used to share a look now wear headgear made just for them, from the Cleric's mitre to the Dru...
Read full update on Steam ↗A new patch is now live! This is a big one! There are a lot of new stuff in this one, with several new gear pieces, lots of new gear mods, balancing, new cap on attack speed, shield implementation and more. I will list all the new stuff at the end of the post, so you can see "regular" changes first. Some of the stuff here is not available in the demo though. That's because the classes that have some of the updates are not available. Every class that is available in the demo, has the new stuff in the demo too.Improved:Your healers stop wasting their heals. They used to open a fight by healing a party that was already at full health, and then sit on the cooldown when somebody actually got hurt. The gear filters now only offer stats and effects that piece of gear can actually have for that hero, and the loot filter only lists effects your party can find. No more scrolling past things your...
Read full update on Steam ↗A new patch is now live!Improved:The skills screen now tells you how long a skill's stun, poison or passive buff lasts and how likely it is to land, no tooltip hunting needed.Balance:Skull Crack leaves enemies seeing stars for longer: the stun now lasts 2 seconds instead of 1.5.Warriors now open every fight with Challenging Roar the moment it is off cooldown, instead of waiting to shove their way into swinging distance first. Your tank finally tanks, even if they can't hit anyone. Other heroes might take damage if they are caught in the line of fire though.Fixed:Fixed a save that could hang forever on the loading screen while offline progress was being worked out. Auto-Equip had found two rings it could not stop swapping between.Auto-Equip no longer trades a gear effect for one it has no honest way to compare it against, so your heroes stop passing the same accessory back and forth.Of...

Hit "Join the Discord" on the title screen or in the menu to come talk runs, share your deepest dives and tell me what to fix next.Bought an upgrade to start at a higher level, only to discover that you're not strong enough and you wasted your points? Bought every potion upgrade, but figured out you only want half of them? You can now refund meta-tree upgrades between runs and get every prestige point back. Undo one level, a whole upgrade, a branch or the entire tree, and go wild. Nothing is permanent anymore. Have fun experimenting! Thanks for playing, and keep the feedback coming in the Discord server.-VindR
Read full update on Steam ↗The demo's first patch is now live!New:There's a "What's New" window now, right by the version number in the lower right corner on the title screen and in the menu. It lights up whenever an update brings something new to read.Improved:The Attributes window now lists your hero's skills under the Basic Attack line, with their damage, damage per second and exactly which stat powers them. Handy for deciding where to put the next points.Saves are now armored against a rare math hiccup that could only strike absurdly deep in the dungeon. Nobody has gotten that far yet, but I'm now ready for when you do.Fixed:Heroes who dove really deep could come back to an "Unreadable save". Your progress was safe the whole time, and those saves now load like nothing ever happened.Starting a run on a higher tier no longer drops you into an empty sky for a moment.
