Nightfall

Description
The hall is empty. The night is not.
Nightfall is a survivor-like: you move, the horde closes, and everything you carry fires on its own. The only thing you actually choose is who you become between the kills.
Every level-up is a roll. Most games of this kind hand you one rank at a time. Here every card arrives with a rarity, and the rarity is not decoration - it is how many ranks the card grants. Common gives one. Legendary gives six. A single lucky pick four minutes in rewrites the rest of the run, and every point of Fortune you buy tilts the odds.
Infusions ride every hit. Past weapons and passives there is a third slot. Ember sets what you touch on fire, Shock chains to whatever stands near it, Frost slows, Leech feeds you, Doom quietly deletes something. An infusion applies to everything you carry - which is how a weak spray of daggers becomes the best weapon in the run.
Weapons become other weapons. Carry one to rank 8 while holding its partner passive and it turns: the Wand stops needing to reload its patience, the Whip starts drinking, the Storm Ring doubles its lightning.
The dead pay for the next descent. Souls torn from the horde buy Ascension - eleven permanent upgrades that make the next hunter faster, tougher, greedier, luckier. They stay bought.
The Reaper arrives at two minutes. Then the Maw, the Sentinel, the Hollow King - each one sooner than the last.
