A Game About Cutting Grass is exactly what it sounds like: a relaxing game about cutting grass.
Take your time, enjoy the simple pleasure of mowing, and turn messy lawns into perfectly cut fields. If you just want to relax and cut some grass, there's no rush. Play at your own pace and enjoy the moment.
But if you're looking for a challenge, try to improve your cutting times and find the fastest way to clear each area. Every second counts when you're chasing your best time.
Grab your tools and start mowing. Clear different areas, watch the grass disappear, and enjoy the satisfying feeling of a job well done.
Improve your equipment to make cutting grass faster and more efficient.
Complete your objectives and unlock new cutting zones , each with its own layout.
Cut grass. Upgrade your tools. Unlock new areas and relax.
Sometimes, that's all you need.
This is the last demo update before Steam Next Fest (hopefully). I've been working hard on optimization to make A Game About Cutting Grass run smoother on more PCs, without sacrificing its cozy atmosphere. In my tests, FPS improved significantly, especially in open areas and when looking towards the mountains. Grass & Vegetation Redesigned grass blades with much lighter geometry, while keeping their original shape, colors, and wind animations. Improved the rendering of distant grass. Lighting & Shadows Rebalanced shadow distances for every graphics quality preset. Removed unnecessary shadows from small repeated objects, such as fences, railings, and flower boxes. Optimized ambient occlusion, achieving a nearly identical visual result at a much lower performance cost. Visual Improvements Introduced a new anti-aliasing solution for a sharper image, eliminating the slight ghosting that c...
Read full update on Steam ↗Demo Update — Balance, Economy & Bug FixesA new update for the demo is now live!First of all, I fixed a small localization bug that prevented the names of the tools from being correctly translated in the upgrade stations.🛠️ Tool BalanceI also received quite a lot of feedback about the transition from the scissors to the Brush Cutter. Many players noticed that a newly purchased Brush Cutter could actually feel weaker than fully upgraded scissors. Because of this, some players preferred to keep using the scissors until they could upgrade the Brush Cutter.I agreed that this didn't make the first tool upgrade feel as rewarding as it should, so I made some balance changes:✂️ All scissors stats have been reduced by 0.5.🌿 The newly purchased Brush Cutter is now equivalent to the old Brush Cutter with its first Cut Radius and Cut Time upgrades.Cut Radius: 0.45 → 0.55Cut Time: 1.05 → 0.85The...
Read full update on Steam ↗I’ve just released a fix for an issue affecting the demo’s localization files.Unfortunately, due to one tiny missing comma, all languages except Italian were not working correctly. Yes… one comma.I’m really sorry for the issue, and I sincerely thank everyone who reported it and helped me track it down. The problem has now been fixed, and the available localizations should work correctly again.Thank you for playing the demo and for all your feedback!
Read full update on Steam ↗Thanks for 100 Players! The demo has been available for just 7 hours, and already 100 players have tried it!A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played, shared feedback, and supported A Game About Cutting Grass. Your feedback is already helping me improve the game. Thanks to your feedback, I've made a small but important change to the demo:🌱 New: Skip ZoneIf a zone gets stuck at 98% or 99% and no new grass is cut for 35 seconds, a new pop-up will appear letting you know you can skip the zone. The Skip Zone button is located in the pause menu and will only be available once the necessary conditions are met. This way, you won't be forced to waste time hunting for the last few patches of grass. You can also use the Report a Problem button in the pause menu to report bugs or send suggestions for the demo and for the full game. Thanks again for all the support and for your feedback!Happy grass...
