ChipBuilder is a story driven puzzle game about digital logic. You play a junior engineer at ChipCorp, learning to build a working computer from the ground up, one gate at a time.
KEY FEATURES
Interactive Circuit Canvas
Drag components from the palette, wire outputs to inputs, and watch signals propagate live as you build.
Real Truth Table Verification
Every circuit is graded against the actual truth table it should satisfy. No shortcuts, no guessing.
Narrative Driven Lessons
Chapter 1, The Spark of Logic: Learn the fundamental building blocks, logic gates that process 0s and 1s.
Chapter 2, The Art of Combination: Combine gates into useful circuits, adders, multiplexers, and decoders.
Chapter 3, Memory Takes Hold: Discover circuits that remember, latches, flip-flops, and registers.
Chapter 4, The Storage Vault: Build memory systems, RAM, ROM, and address decoding.
Chapter 5, The Brain's Calculator: Build the ALU, the arithmetic and logic powerhouse of the CPU.
Chapter 6, Building the Brain: Assemble the complete CPU, program counter, control unit, and datapath.
Chapter 7, The Language of Machines: Cross the hardware software boundary, machine code, assembly, and algorithms.
Chapter 8, The Chip Architect: Master advanced concepts, pipelining, caching, ISA design, and build freely.
Chapter 9, From Sand to Silicon: Learn how chips are actually built and assembled in the fab.
Chapter 10, The AI Accelerator: Discover how dedicated chips meant to run and train artificial intelligence are developed.
Chapter 11, The FAB CEO: Get to lead ChipCorp. as their CEO for 35 years in a grand strategy type of game.
11 chapters. 39 levels. 1 working CPU, built by you, one gate at a time.

TITLE Chip Builder update: 2D board view SUMMARY Switch any breadboard level to a flat 2D board, watch current flow through your circuit, and click a chip to see what every pin does. BODY New: 2D board view Switch any breadboard level between 3D and a flat 2D board. Use the 2D VIEW button, press V, or pick your favourite under BOARD VIEW on the main menu. Wires route themselves in clean right angles, and your circuit stays exactly as you left it when you switch views. Click an input and watch the change travel gate by gate to the outputs. Wires carrying a 1 glow with moving pulses. Everything works in 2D: placing, wiring, moving parts, selecting several with Shift + drag, SHOW SOLUTION and RUN TESTS. New: pin guide Click a chip with four or more pins to see every pin's name, whether it is an input or an output, and its live value. On a crowded board the view zooms in on the chip, and...
Read full update on Steam ↗New: Chapter 11 · FAB CEO The board of ChipCorp makes you its chief executive. FAB CEO is a turn-based strategy game on an island that grows with the decades. Every turn is one week. Stay in the job for 35 years and you retire with the chapter complete. After that, you can keep playing as long as you like. Pick your era: take over in 1947, 1959, 1971, 1985, 1998, 2011, 2019 or 2030. No two starts are alike: the company's cash, its first customer, its suppliers and its rivals change every time. Make chips and sell them: plan production, set prices, and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers. Before you sign, the game shows whether a new client fits your capacity. Grow the company: research eight technology trees, build new fabs (chip factories) on four sites, upgrade them, sell them, or buy a rival outright. Manage the money: borrow, invest, raise funding and take the company p...

Read full update on Steam ↗New: Chapter 9 · From Sand to Silicon You've spent the whole game designing chips. Now ChipCorp has you make one. The new final chapter comes after Chapter 8 and plays differently from everything before it: The fab: put a wafer's journey in order, from growing the silicon crystal to testing the finished chips and sawing them apart. The die: lay out four CMOS transistor pairs on a real standard-cell floorplan. PMOS go in the N-well, NMOS on the substrate, with a gap between neighbours. The package: build a modern 3D chip package from the solder balls up: substrate, silicon interposer, logic die, stacked HBM memory and lid. The 3D view shows each stage as you work and builds the package layer by layer. On Guided difficulty, STEP BY STEP walks you through all three stages. Fixes Steam achievements now unlock. Before this update they were never awarded. If you had already finished a chapt...
