About this game

Description

Supplied by the Steam store

Untergrund Raceways Arena (short: URA) is a kart arena fighter from Vantech Studios, developed in cooperation with the AAP . URA covers a scope that seems somewhat atypical for a first PC game.

26 individual arenas, each differing in concept

1v1 to 50-player modes for variety

40 individual, chaotic items

37–40 characters from the AAP Universe

Player-like AI opponents with a high level of skill

Configurable item selections, rarities, round lengths, and stats

A tournament mode that chains together several random tracks

A statistics system to track your successes

A fully comprehensive achievement system

Fully functional splitscreen for up to 4 players

URA can be picked up without any issues even by newcomers to the AAP Universe and requires no prior knowledge, yet rewards those in the know with secrets and lore references.

Arenas

The arenas in URA range from simple, chaotic coliseums to muddy biker pits and entirely otherworldly dimensions. Some arena names include:

Black Squad Arena

The Treehouse

Hinterrooms

Harzuslapu

Setagayacrash

Temple War

A Stickl Vo Daham

Items

The items in URA range from simple wall-bouncing projectiles, shields, and a heap of explosions to gigantic Saashunde and huge, all-consuming blasts. Three examples are listed below:

Yeethund: A subspecies of the Seeshunde, fired straight ahead and able to bounce off multiple walls.

Barrier Crystal: Pink magic that creates a protective shield around its user, which can also be used as a battering ram.

Suitcase Rodrification: An extremely rare suitcase item that unleashes a massive black explosion from the user.

Characters

The characters in URA range from well-known figures like Roy Eastman Codec and Anderson to protagonists such as Suzune Kalari, Jason Black, and Darkwin Dust, all the way to mystical characters like Rodriguez Sanchez and Joker.

AI Opponents

The AI opponents in URA are a particular focus, especially until the multiplayer update, and have been designed according to Vantech principles to be as player-like as possible, offering a real challenge and genuine variety. Though some might call certain item uses "antisocial." At any rate, the focus is on the opponents’ human-like feel, general combat competence, and dynamic navigation. The following features were implemented:

Dynamic item awareness for every single item

Dynamic random navigation of the arenas

Offensive/defensive awareness

Human-like aiming behavior

Use of the same controls as the player

No cheats

Configuration

Both the rarity of each individual item and which items can appear at all can be precisely adjusted.

Which characters are present in a round can also be freely set.

How many points are awarded per hit, as well as how many lives each player has or how long each round lasts, can be adjusted at any time.

How many rounds are played per tournament can also be configured.

Modes

The standard game is played across 26 arenas with 12 competitors, of which 1–4 are players. Splitscreen can be used for this. Additionally, there is a 1v1 mode on a simple fixed arena and modes for 3 players up to 50 players on the same enlarged arena.
