Classic tower defense meets roguelite. Build a brand-new tower arsenal every run from elements and power-up cards. But your towers are more than weapons: they are the walls of your maze, and you decide which path your enemies have to take. Journey TD combines the depth of classic elemental tower defense games with modern roguelite progression. Every run is different – but your progress stays with you.
Every tower is a little creature with its own look, its own animations and abilities. Finding your favorites is half the fun.
There is no fixed path: enemies always look for the shortest route, and every tower and every stone you build is a wall. Send them the long way around.
Fire burns, Ice freezes, Storm leaps from enemy to enemy, Poison slowly eats away – and Darkness … well, you'll see. Discover their combos, and maybe one day you'll stumble upon the sixth.
Every run offers you new towers to choose from, and if you don't like the offer, just reroll. Defeated enemies fill your draft bar, and once it's full, you pick one of five power-up cards. And three identical towers merge into a stronger one.
150 waves, 300 waves or Endless – from Normal to Apocalypse. Every difficulty brings tougher enemies, but also more points and better loot. And somewhere on the way to the top, a whole new map awaits.
At fixed waves, your towers step into the arena for a damage check: first against a boss, then against an entire horde. The harder you hit, the better the chest.
Your little Builder walks over and builds every tower by hand – and grows with you. Gear it up with loot, spend points in three skill trees and dress it in skins from noble to utterly ridiculous.
Hunt 27 extremely rare Power Runes, awaken 6 god towers, fill your Collection Album with 168 tower cards and earn more than 300 achievements.
Measure yourself against the whole world in every mode and on every difficulty. During a run, a ghost shows you wave by wave how you stack up against your best run and your friends.
And so much more <3
A Reliquary full of artifacts, a traveling black market, potions for your towers, a compendium that explains everything … and a few surprises I'm not telling you about yet.
This update is all about two things. Supremacy is our second competitive mode: one round for everyone again – but this time you bring everything you've got. And Journey TD gets a whole new look: over the last weeks almost everything you see has been redrawn by hand, from the title screen and the menus down to the smallest icon. On top of that: a fair rule against enemy juggling, a much cheaper Black Market, faster Paragon levels and a round of balance changes.New Patch will drop 26.10.2026 in the evening, Central European Time.New Mode: SupremacySupremacy is our second competitive mode. Like in the Colosseum, everyone plays the same round: same map, same seed, same waves, offers, power-ups, artifacts, Black Market potions and Arena bosses. Play as often as you like – only your best run counts. With everything you've got: unlike the Colosseum, you don't start with nothing. Builder level...
Read full update on Steam ↗This patch is all about ice: frozen enemies no longer turn immune to frost – they harden instead. Leonard and Bibb learn to feed on slowed enemies with two new abilities, Bibb and Hrym swap places, and Crispin and Morwen are retuned for the new rules. Your profile, ongoing runs and leaderboards stay as they are.Freezing, ReworkedNo more frost immunity. Until now, a thawed enemy was immune to frost for 4 s, then 5 s, 6 s, 7 s … Now it hardens instead: after every freeze it needs more frost for the next one – 8 → 14 → 20 → 26 (+6 each), then five times +8 up to 66, then +10 every time (76, 86, 96 …).Lords start at 32 as before and climb the same steps: 32 → 38 → 44 → 50 → 58 …Ice Level 30 still halves the starting value (8 → 4, Lords 32 → 16) – but never the steps. In practice: with many ice towers, enemies freeze far more often in the first minute, then less and less. With only a few ic...

Read full update on Steam ↗First of all: a huge thank you to everyone testing the beta! Your runs, bug reports and honest feedback shaped a big part of this patch again – from the poison towers to the performance fixes. And now, pack some water: this update takes you into the Desert, our third map – an oasis in the middle of the sand, two enemy gates at once, and a Djinn in a Bottle who hands out curses… and offers you a wager. And for everyone who wants to measure themselves against the others, the Colosseum opens its gates: one shared map, one seed, the same waves and offers for everyone, everyone starts with nothing – and the best earn a badge. On top of that: player profiles you can open from the leaderboard, cloud saves, a new top bar, ten loadout presets, reworked poison towers, more magic in all three skill trees, a big round of economy balance and a nice performance boost.New Patch will drop 17.10.2026 i...
Read full update on Steam ↗First of all: a huge thank you to everyone testing the beta! Your runs, bug reports and honest feedback ("waves 1–20 are brutal, the middle is free, 250–300 hits out of nowhere") shaped almost every line of this patch. And now, grab a lantern and stay close: the dead are restless. This update opens the gates to a brand new map, the Graveyard, and a tombstone slot machine that decides whether fortune smiles on your towers… or curses them. On top of that, Journey TD now speaks seven more languages, the Forest has come alive, the menus and leaderboards got a complete makeover, I've reworked the enemy health curves, rebuilt or rebalanced a good number of towers, and fixed a stack of bugs you reported.New Patch will Drop 10.10.2026 in the evening, Europe Central Time (17:30/18:00)New Map: The GraveyardNew map: the Graveyard, a necropolis at night.
