A small update for the demo and the full game. Changes A fairer pace. In campaign battles the enemy now builds up more slowly, so you have more time to get a proper mob together before things turn nasty. The change is biggest on Recruit (half the old pace) and Regular, smaller on Veteran, and Hardened is almost unchanged. Endless mode is untouched. Boot Camp: waiting has a cost. The drill sergeant now warns that the enemy gets stronger the longer you sit in the trench: more of them, tougher ones, and eventually their artillery and gas. Holding is safe. Holding loses. Boot Camp: shells take a moment. Artillery lands about a second and a half after you call it, so aim where the enemy is going, not where he is. Fixes Ranging Tables now works. The upgrade said artillery scatters half as far, but it had no effect. It now halves the scatter of shells aimed at a dug-in trench. Shells in the...

You can keep shoring up the line instead of being dragged across no man's land. Prefer the old follow-cam? Switch on OTT auto-scroll in Settings. Boot Camp mentions it. The drill sergeant now tells you where that switch lives. Bring a hanky. Cheaper Medics and Runners. Both now cost 50 glory in the Depot, so your first unlock comes sooner. Existing saves have auto-scroll switched off once by this update. If you liked it, turn it back on in Settings and it will stay on. Thanks to everyone playing during Next Fest. Keep the reports coming in the feedback thread on the Discussions page.
Read full update on Steam ↗A new demo build is live, just in time for Next Fest. Everything below is in the full game too. New Machine guns and artillery from the start. Every company now begins with both, so your very first battles have real choices in them instead of an hour of riflemen. Boot Camp covers more. The drill sergeant now explains call-ins, the request buttons, the hold-back slider, sending the next wave and pausing. He has also become slightly ruder. A trick worth knowing: men at the back of the trench are the last to go over the top. Put your machine guns there and use the HOLD BACK slider to keep them home while the riflemen charge. Depot Machine Gun and Artillery are gone from the Depot, because you already have them. If you bought either before, the glory has been refunded: 60 for the Machine Gun, 90 for Artillery. Nothing needs the Machine Gun or Artillery any more. Heavy MG, Mortar Team, Gas...
Read full update on Steam ↗A new demo build is live. Everything below is in the full game too. New Aim your Strafing Run. Click and drag to set the line the plane flies. A plain click still sends it straight up the field, and you now see the lane before you commit. Armour Leads (Depot, 150 glory). Adds a Send Armour order: your tanks roll out on their own, and the infantry stay in the trench until you send them over behind the armour. Fire Discipline (Depot, 120 glory, needs Mortar Team). Your mortar crews won't drop a round anywhere near your own men. Fewer friendly casualties, but they fall silent once your charge reaches the enemy line. Flamethrowers now show their flame. Fixes and balance Strafing Run hits properly now. It used to barely scratch anyone. Each pass now strikes every man caught in the open in its lane, but not all of them die: some are missed or only wounded, more often at the edges of the lan...
